H.a.a.r.p

You should really reconsider going back on yours.

"so if i win the lotto, im smarter then you?"

you couldnt afford to do the lotto rory, youre unemployed
:p
but ask a friend to lend you a dollar, then win the lottery as thats the only way you seem to think you can prove youre not stupid
let me know when youve done it
lol

oh i dont know, i mean if it was me i would control what the public tours get to see, dig under and have access in it where a public tour does not go. While making everyone believe its something else the public cant access or use, but only the military. While everyone else keeps looking over at Area 51 and still shoot anyone who tries to get a look at it lol.

Stop avoiding the question with bs.. answer it. Would i be smarter then you if i won the lotto? or anyone for that matter, it's your logic.

Why? You see, your conspiracy theory falls down on the same grounds that they all ultimately do: you need the conspirators to be brilliant and stupid at the same time. They must be brilliant to create a device that is not possible at this time. They must be stupid to have done it in such a way that a few teenagers on teh intertubes have found out about it.

Just imagining for a moment that a secret earthquake machine was possible, it would be a much more effective weapon than nukes:

  • Unlike nukes, you can use it without declaring war, 'cos nobody will know you did it.
  • You can inflict massive damage on your enemy's (or economic rival's) infrastructure, costing them a fortune to rebuild.
  • You can hit them over and over, just enough to keep them from gaining the upper hand economically or militarily, maintaining the balance of power and avoiding war altogether.

But pie-in-the-sky aside, earthquakes just keep on happening along the same old fault lines. (Unless you can think of some pressing reason why a major power needs to keep Haiti in check.)

Question #1 to ask yourself when confronted with an oddball claim: is this consistent with my experience of how the world works?
Well of course it is going to be consistent with the experience of a conspiracy theorist of how the world works! Because conspiracies have been known and proven to have happened, and that by definition current conspiracies are hidden because they are conspiracies anything can be speculated as being a cover for something sinister. And you can't prove otherwise because it's a secret.
All you have to do is start a journal and log every earthquake than happens from now on and speculate about the interest of the US or NWO for the region where it happened, and voilà! you've got a crackpot theory that can't be proven to be false!

Also, because HAARP is an earthquake doomsday device, most of it is hidden underground of course. The part we see and can visit is nothing but the cover-up operation.

Rory, you moved the goalposts, but sure, if you like "you would be smarter than me if you won the lotto"

now go prove youre smarter than me
let me know when youve done it

til then as you insist we shall have to presume you arent smarter than me and can't prove otherwise
:D

Speculation with Speculation =]
Wow. You've been spouting CT-er rhetoric throughout the whole thread, and yet when you feel someone else is doing the same thing, you have to call them on it. Beautiful:rolleyes:.

Military action and movements are always watched, in country and out. what would it look like if HAARP was heavily guarded and no public tours of a mobile phone field? *cough* i mean some new technology communicate field.
Didn't I just explicitly tell you not to write something this outlandish?

When the military develops something new, be it stealth technology, unmanned aerial vehicles, or advanced weaponry, it's kept under wraps. When the F-117 Nighthawk was under construction, did they just park them right out on the field at some air force base in a major city, so that everyone could see it when the base had an Open Day? Could someone involved in the project have started a webiste like B2SpiritTruth.com and posted pictures, blueprints, technical data and names of those involved there without retaliation from the military?

No.

Oh, and to answer your rhetorical question: what would it look like if there was a closed-in, heavily guarded military perimeter which happened to have communications towers within its enclosure? It would look like any other closed-in, heavily guarded military perimeter which happened to have communications towers within its enclosure.

Oh, and since you didn't really answer the question: We're looking at the strongest, more efficient super weapon in human history. Why is it so utterly undefended? Why are there tours to the site? Why can people just walk right in? Why is the most powerful and effective weapon in human history utterly undefended? Oh, and why isn't everyone else doing the same thing? It's not like only the United States has atomic bombs.

Whats wrong with the old fashion way rather then making it look like a natural disaster in every country they want to bomb? Who spends more money each finical year on weapons? Not even a around 9 magnitude earthquake and kill more then a nuclear bomb let alone maybe more damage?
Righty. They could just flip a switch and cause Taliban's caves to crumble, but they'd rather do it "the old-fashioned way" with highly expensive bombers and munitions, risking men and machines when they could just have sat home and flipped a switch. But they do use HAARP on the civilian populations of insignificant countries like Chile and Haiti, with whom they are not even at war.

Well of course it is going to be consistent with the experience of a conspiracy theorist of how the world works!
Right. Silly me.

I didn't find out about it on the internet, i found out about after having thoughts of it since the quake in Italy last year and then read about the first post-image, then got told about HAARP on another forum.

so we're back to your sources again
1. readers digest
2. a CT forum

:D

from wiki
Journalist Sharon Weinberger called HAARP "the Moby Dick of conspiracy theories" and said the popularity of conspiracy theories often overshadows the benefits HAARP may provide to the scientific community.[14][15] Skeptic computer scientist David Naiditch called HAARP "a magnet for conspiracy theorists", saying the project has been blamed for triggering catastrophes such as floods, droughts, hurricanes, thunderstorms, and devastating earthquakes in Afghanistan and the Philippines aimed to "shake up" Muslim terrorists. Naiditch says HAARP has been blamed for diverse events including major power outages, the downing of TWA Flight 800, Gulf War Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, as well as the Columbine High School shootings. Conspiracy theorists have also suggested links between HAARP and the work of Nikola Tesla (particularly potential combinations of HAARP energy with Tesla's work on pneumatic small-scale earthquake generation) and physicist Bernard Eastlund. According to Naiditch, HAARP is an attractive target for conspiracy theorists because "its purpose seems deeply mysterious to the scientifically uninformed".
this means you

Why would it need to be heavily guarded? its only waves, but there lies another question, if its military connected, why isn't there any military arms defending it in the first place? And wasn't it said they have bases around the world in other country's(cant remb that well)? And something similar in Norway.

Maybe Norway come up with the technology first and only sold it to USA? or vice versa or each come up on there own with it and not giving it out? i mean if you were the first to come up with such technology you wouldn't want anyone else having it correct?

Looks like its not in a major city to me, but a forest with heaps of spare land also. And if a Govt had control of natural disasters so to speak, you wouldn't want to make that publicly known correct? even if it was a way to help it. It would cause all sorts of speculation and wonder if it would be used a weapon in war, and if other countries have it to use against them among many other things.

So now your joining in on Sledges convo with me? You seem to forget another source you keep mentioning..

I'm sticking to the sources that have some basis in the real world Rory, not the ones that you are pretending you have so that you dont have to admit you should be taking your meds

;)

Why would it need to be heavily guarded?
According to you, it's the most powerful weapon on Earth. I'd want a few guards around it. I mean, obviously the intelligence agencies of foreign powers won't figure things out, but you've got to watch out for those savvy worldwidenet kids.

Why would it need to be heavily guarded?
I dislike the stundie awards because I dislike bullying of other members, but if I was a contributor, I'd ship this over in a heartbeat.

Ah, the beauty of conspiracy theories. Of course they don't use it! If they used it people would know they have it! The fact that they don't use the technology proves they have it. :teacher:

Interesting, so whats to say certain ELF waves Haarp can do wouldn't cause earthquakes? like the example in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1jIjx0XF_U where he accidentally caused an earthquake (http://www.puppetgov.com/2010/02/18/elf-waves-haarp-and-man-made-earthquakes/)

I apologise if this has already been brought up (I've only skimmed the thread), but I'm confused about this YouTube video. Perhaps, rorylee, you can clear it up for me.

It's my understanding that the studies conducted at HAARP are electromagnetic in nature. So when in that video the exploration geophysicist introduced his work in Oregon, I assumed that he was using something like ground penetrating radar. The picture shown of workers in the field with a large antenna seem to confirm that EM radiation was used. But then in the section showing his lab demonstration, the man uses a loudspeaker to mobilise the unstable rock, and says that ELF waves are like those produced by a subwoofer.

Now of course loudspeakers do indeed produce electrical signals, because that's how the diaphragm is made to vibrate. But in the case of the geophysicist's model, I don't think that the EM waves produced by the speaker were the immediate cause of the slip; the resonance that he spoke of was caused by pressure waves. And yet the comparison was drawn with HAARP. Was the geophysicist using an EM or a seismic method? If EM, why in his model did he use a subwoofer rather than an EM device that would not produce acoustic waves? If seismic, what is the relationship to HAARP, an EM experiment?

I'm confused. Please, rorylee or anybody, could you help me out?

The Chile Earthquake which was huge and devastating, over 1.5 billion homes affected

With a population of 17 million, that would be 0.011 people per home

Coincidence? or a aftershock/wave from a devastating earthquake? *hint hint*

According to conspiracy theorists, there are no coincidences. Everything is done by the evil government.

Chile is no stranger to large earthquakes. It is a very active zone actually.

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/world/historical_country.php#chile

Also I think this other article at http://www.livescience.com/environment/chile-earthquake-tsunami-100227.html says it best:
Is Earth shaking more?

The Ryukyu Islands of Japan were hit with a 7.0-magnitude quake just last night. News of this, the Haiti quake and now Chile make it seem Earth is becoming ever more active. But in the grand scheme of things, geologists say this is just Mother Nature as usual.

"From our human perspective with our relatively short and incomplete memories and better and better communications around the world, we hear about more earthquakes and it seems like they are more frequent," Arrowsmith said. "But this is probably not any indication of a global change in earthquake rate of significance."

Coupled with better communication, as the human population skyrockets and we move into more hazardous regions, we're going to hear more about the events that do occur, Arrowsmith added.

Any building has surveillance, and been a military based operation wouldn't you think they would have some kind of defense to it? If i was Russian or from North Korea etc and found out HAARP was military corrected, i'd be interested as to why. But might back off once i hear its open to public and unguarded. 2 words, mind games.

Ah, the beauty of conspiracy theories. Of course they don't use it! If they used it people would know they have it! The fact that they don't use the technology proves they have it. :teacher:
Never said they don't use it.
