• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

H.a.a.r.p

Although, frankly, the idea that the US Government can create earthquakes with HAARP is batcrap crazy anyway.
The HAARP stuff is all nonsense, but Norway could do it with EISCAT. I would go into more detail, but I am not allowed. Government rules.

This is getting nowhere fast.
Rorylee will never produce evidence that we will find satisfying because he doesn't understand why he should. All he needs is one paragraph from the Reader Digest and the power of imagination. He already made the point that to him researching on the internet is irrelevant because of government control. He is content with only making superficial or no research for that reason and will question the validity of any official explanation on the grounds of the possibility of a conspiracy.

I didn't say his hypothesis are delusional, I said believing in those consciously fabricated hypothesis as being real without evidence is where the delusion is.

@Rorylee: Would you trust someone else like yourself as a reference for the validity of a claim? I think you underestimate the power of imagination. It is not limited to the realm of possible things, you know.
Please change your methodology a bit and research your hypothesis. But not on youtube and Abovetopsecret, because you will likely get more baseless speculation from under-qualified people that master the art of creative reality interpretation. You can't use that as a base for your beliefs here and expect to be taken seriously! Just research, check the sources, take the info and then adjust your hypothesis. But for the love of God, take at least some honest real-life info or you risk being always wrong.

The problem is that for each case (say, each fault zone) there are a number of variables which most likely will be diferent from each other. Actually for a given fault zone- assuming it works- the parameters would change according to depth (rocks behave in diferent ways depending on the pressure and temperature), the types of rocks crossed by the fault zone, the geometry of the fault zone and the stress field which causes the movement. As a wild guess, I would suppose one would need at least the same order of magnitude of the volume of water injected at some fault zones to generate geothermal power- and I would not bet it would work.

Note that the idea is to "lubricate" it, making the fault zone move, slowly and gently releasing stress which would build up and eventually be suddenly liberated, generating shock waves. Now, please bear in mind that if the fault zone moves here, stress wille be accumulated over there, where it is locked. So, there's the danger of avoiding a quake here, but setting up the right conditions for a worst one over there. Not to mention that a miscalculation may make the fault zone move way too fast here, triggering a quake.

Its not like in Lex Luthor's real state plans, actually...

Now, on a more serious(?) note, an earthquake is nothing more than the propagation of shock waves through our planet. Mankind started to produce artificial earthquakes as soon as the first homind felt from a tree. And nowadays we make lots of them. Nuclear explosions, bombs, mine blasts, seismic charges, heavy trucks...

Interesting, so whats to say certain ELF waves Haarp can do wouldn't cause earthquakes? like the example in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1jIjx0XF_U where he accidentally caused an earthquake (http://www.puppetgov.com/2010/02/18/elf-waves-haarp-and-man-made-earthquakes/)

That's pretty cool we have such a well versed person here as Correa Neto.

Grande Correa! I would like to know what you have in mind about the claims that the earth-quakes on Haiti were caused by the resonance of the vibrations caused by the HAARP. So not the water injection this time, but could the resonance adds up to trigger the earthquake if it was kind of latent in a given area?

There's a video on youtube with strange claims from a guy named Nick Begich which many people here might already know about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhJfkh0e3l0&feature=PlayList&p=D7379D6B9A48BE4E&index=2

Far from being a reliable source, let´s focus on the claim. Would resonance be responsible for causing an earthquake of that magnitude? It´s true that resonance can look like magic sometimes. It already made people's jaw drops like in the Tacoma Bridge accident (youtube is acting with me atm, so I can´t link the best video on the bridge accident, just type Tacoma Bridge will suffice).

On the above video(Begich's), a suposed researcher explains about the danger of such a high wattage , over 1 billion watts being emmited by HAARP and the dangers it may cause.

In another video of HAARP conspiracy which unfortunately I can't find atm , a person does an experiment with a miniature of a hill with a rock in the imminence of sliding the miniature slope. Then with a device he emmits allegedly the same kind of waves that HAARP does, and then after some time the rock slides down , showing that the microwave emmiting could actually release the rock which had considerable potential energy. He then concludes that it could be used to trigger earthquakes. Sorry I will try to find the video link. In the meantime , if any of you guys ever found this video and can link it here would be awesome.

thanks in advance

hmmm, claiming I'm a satanist, that is defamation of character. I'm a babylonian pantheist, which is much more respectable

I've taken an interest in your condition Rory because I once dated someone with schizophrenia, its not nice and youre only going to get help and start to live a halfway normal life when you admit to yourself that you have this condition. As usual everyone around you knows you have this condition already, all the people who care about you know it, your friends, your family, everyone and they will be suffering because of your denial until you get it sorted.

You want your friends and family to suffer so you can carry on deluding yourself youre psychic do you

ask yourself this question
If you had the ability to fly, but everytime you took off people who cared about you felt phsyical pain
would you still fly ?

Youre missing the point Fallout, as long as Rory has a platform to spread his delusions about himself, he will never address his illness. So the very worse thing you could do is to listen to his words and respond as if you were responding to a normal person. That will just reinforce his belief that he has psychic powers and doesnt need to check out any facts because his psychic powers have already told him the truth

the fantasy he is expounding here today is that HAARP caused the haitian earthquake, he has proved this to himself apparently using synchonicity, vis a vis a readers digest article from a decade ago and a recent visit to a conspiracy theory forum.

sorry, maybe i was misunderstood from the quote in your signature ""for while heaven may be closed I am always open, even on Christmas." (Lucifer)"

Yes its an illness which gets treated and cured, it was 2 yrs ago and i was treated and cured. Do you get it now?

And if i had the ability to fly, you bet your ass i would keep doing it, even if others had psychical pain.. its my ability not theirs.

I spose you would call everyone who is saying the same thing as iam schizophrenic?

for below, not that is any of your business but ill tell you anyway, i did. I complied with their way of doing it, even with the smell still lerking around and others telling me they can smell it. The dr's cleared me and found no reason to keep me on the drugs when i wanted to stop given they originally said i may need to be on it for 6 months.

Rory, schizophrenia is not curable, it is treatable, but only if you actually take the medications you have been given
you haven't and so at the moment, you can't see that all of your symptoms are being displayed here at the forum, you might think you are having a discussion about something real, but everyone else can see that your condition is the one talking
;)

We're getting into politically incorrect terrain here, calling people by and on their afflictions...

Maybe you shouldn't pay so much attention to someone who overstates HAARP's power output by a factor of more than 250.

HAARP emits high frequency radio waves, not microwaves.

I have moved a number of breach of Rule "0" (ie. civil/polite), Rule 11 and Rule 12 posts. Stop the bickering, Internet "psychoanalysis" and other off-topic discussions & keep it civil.

whenever I hear something narrated by Jonathan Frakes I know its going to be a bit laughable

sorry
:(

lol

No dispute here, History Channel's reputation went down the drain since long ago I know. But what about these claims? Why is him talking through his rear end? I did read the skeptoid article but didn´t see this point explained over there. I would like to read a technical rebutal to this argument, if anyone here already dealt with this claim, I would be glad to read it.

I know, im fairly ignorant about this to be honest, just want to take advantage of looking into these claims in order to learn a bit about how it does really work. So the guy is this wrong? Look at 5:08 in that video, when he is telling "a billion watts". lol

i edited this answer, my mistake. :)

okay as simply as I can put it, HAARP operates using radio waves and its whole purpose for existence is to research radiowaves in order to make communication more efficient, (this is why there is military involvement)

Radiowaves cannot heat water, for that you would need a microwave transmitter of incredible power and youd have to realise that it couldn't be responsible for anything happening in Haiti because microwaves are adversly affected by the weather and only operate over a line of sight basis, so the curvature of the earth would prevent any effect on Haiti, the entire comtinent of North America is in the way

it was a naturally occurring earthquake in a region known for naturally occurring earthquakes

thats all.

Does seem abit odd a field of antennas only doing xxx amount of power output instead of xxxxxx amount.

I found this interesting too

"On the day prior to the earthquake, “on Monday [January 11, 2010], Jean Demay, DISA’s technical manager for the agency’s Transnational Information Sharing Cooperation project, happened to be at the headquarters of the U.S. Southern Command in Miami preparing for a test of the system in a scenario that involved providing relief to Haiti in the wake of a hurricane.”"

The Earth is more oval, or egg shaped. It is not 'round' like a basket ball.

Proof?

I was always taught that it was an oblate spheroid. I'm assuming you've got evidence for that assertion?
