Chávez - Load up the rubber bullets.

I don't know that they do. It's not my top priority. I might look into it I might not.

LOL its ok, its ok, stick the head into the sand and learn to breath true the other end.....

the witnesses lied now
I just don't believe everything I hear. You? Witnesses have been known to lie on the witness stand and there is certianly a possibility that the government could pressure them. Or are you saying this is an impossibility?

The failed coup in Venezuela was closely tied to senior officials in the US government, The Observer has established. They have long histories in the 'dirty wars' of the 1980s, and links to death squads working in Central America at that time.

Washington's involvement in the turbulent events that briefly removed left-wing leader Hugo Chavez from power last weekend resurrects fears about US ambitions in the hemisphere.

It also also deepens doubts about policy in the region being made by appointees to the Bush administration, all of whom owe their careers to serving in the dirty wars under President Reagan.

One of them, Elliot Abrams, who gave a nod to the attempted Venezuelan coup, has a conviction for misleading Congress over the infamous Iran-Contra affair.

The Bush administration has tried to distance itself from the coup. It immediately endorsed the new government under businessman Pedro Carmona. But the coup was sent dramatically into reverse after 48 hours.

Now officials at the Organisation of American States and other diplomatic sources, talking to The Observer, assert that the US administration was not only aware the coup was about to take place, but had sanctioned it, presuming it to be destined for success.

Why is it so important? I concede that my government does things I don't particularly like. There are a million things I can spend my time on. Why do I need to spend time on this one? I'm looking for some opposing views. I'll put some time into it but only so much. Hell, I spend most of my time in the R&P forum. It's my life. Calling me ignorant doesn't make it so.

Given that you only talk about one issue it's clear that you are far more ignorant than I. I care about many issues and not just America and Venezuela.

I have no idea. I don't simply accept everything I hear. That's all. If the weight of the evidence is in favor of it then fine. I'm just telling you that I've been around the block a time or two.

atm , my top priority is indeed Venezuela. because it looks like the US is taking another attempt to overthrow the ELECTED government in Venezuela.

you dont really caer what your government is doing abroad. isnt it?
you say you dont nececerely agree with wath they do, but its not like you would try to do anything.

but wath could you do?
there is nothing you can do, you can contact your represent, thats it.
wath else could you do, in case you really wanted to?

Here's a hint. It's NOT mine.

i know, i pointed it out already a few posts ago.

you will in 10 years or so, then admit, yes my government did some things i didnt really agree on..........

I'm going to bed. Your ego and Venezuela's honor will just have to wait.

But seriously, get over yourself. There are a lot of things for Americans to worry about and Venezuela isn't the number one priority. It's isn't even in the top 1,000. Yes, really.

but suddenly we dont talk about scopes anymore..... how come?
but sure, yes they could be wrong to.....

I notice that that nice man Mr Tascon was one of the main talking heads ensuring the MP's voted through the changes to allow the referendum.

The church were not too happy with Chavez trying to extemnd his power. I guess that they are US puppets eh?

Never mind, having the Maisanta list which shows how everyone votes will ensure there are still some who are wary of voting against Chavez again. I'm sure that he will get it through by hook or by crook.

its never the US fault especially not when they overtrow elected governments.

Violent overthrow of countries leaders are wrong. That is why Chavez went to jail for doing it.

America encouraging the people to overthrow leaders they do not like is the same thing they have been doing for years to more than just Venezuela. You only seem to cry when some people dare to criticize your hero Chavez. You are exactly what you accuse others here of. Very ironic.
