Another of my random questions which I've been asked to post in here instead of a new thread:

Since the 9/11 commish found the US autorities (say that with an Irish accent) failed to stop 9/11 do to a "lack of imagination"

what is being done to prevent any "lack of imagination" scenario terrorist attacks happening in the future? I think it's very unlikely anything could ever happen on US soil again involving commercial airliners

but what is being done to think up and prevent very imaginative terrorist attacks (like 9/11) from occurring in the future?

Have the FBI hired a crack team of professional imaginators, imaginating new scenarios round the clock?

The panel's chairman, Thomas Kean, put it this way: "We were unprepared. We did not grasp the magnitude of a threat that had been gathering over a considerable period of time. As we detail in our report, this was a failure of policy, management, capability, and, above all, a failure of imagination."

Odd, the 9/11 Commission determines that al-Qaeda {which the sub-human idiots claim doesn't exist) orchestrated 9/11 and the sub-human truthers decide the 9/11 Commission intentionally lied yet they cite this as proof the 9/11 Commission is truthful? Truthers are walking contradictions. Anybody else wonder why they failed miserably?

I don't remember the specifics

but the phrase has been thrown around a lot
Yes. It is no more than truther razzle dazzle meant to confuse someone so they don't read the article. It does not mean what the sub-human morons claim.

My best guest is that they are learning about the Muslim culture a little bit better. When Kean said it was a "lack of imagination" he meant that the U.S. had a very ethnocentric mindset. In the West, suicide is thought of as a "last resort". People in the West typically kill themselves when they feel they've hit rock bottom. In other cultures, people kill themselves as a way to honor themselves and their families. Simultaneous suicide hijackings was an extremely difficult scenerio to anticipate.

The prevaling doctrine of the airlines, even on September 11th, 2001, was to not provoke the hijackers in order to get the plane on the ground and begin negotiations or rescue attempts. The "Red Cell" had envisioned a scenario in which suicide was an outcome, as did Tom Clancy in Debt of Honor. However, RC's version involved detonating an explosive on the plane, not taking it over and using it as a missile. Tom Clancy's version involved a plane with no passengers embarked.

I thought LCD was the array of shinies on the fronts of stereos, etc, for staring at when getting real laid back .... trippy man.....
