VP Debate Thread

I haven't been watching the debate at all. I had to bail out of my party because I have a nasty cold. So I've just been lying in bed, cuddling the cats, watching old episodes of "House MD", and generally feeling like crap.

So, what'd I miss?

Once again, the winner is MattusMaximus who instead watched House MD. To be fair though, someone watching Quincy probably wins as well.

Sen. Biden, I will sign a contract promising to vote Democrat in every election for the rest of my life if you would just say "Governor, the word is pronounced 'nuclear.'"

To be honest, I was really only planning on watching the VP debate if I was with a crowd of people (my party that wasn't, grrr...). Kind of like watching a sporting event and rooting for your team, I suppose.

By myself, being all sick & miserable, it would have likely just been me engaging in my own confirmation bias. I'd rather watch "House MD" :)

Are there any undecideds/apathetics on this thread who care to provide their un-biased assessment of the VP debate? I am interested in that. Thanks.

Good answer from Palin on the "What if Obama/Palin croaked?" question.

Except for the wink.

And only until the rambling kicked in again.

:)

Her solution to health care is a $5000 tax credit? The people who need health care most desperately don't pay $5000 in tax. That was one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

Good Ed, Palin has a worse Minnesota accent than a capacity crowd at a Warroad vs. Roseau hockey game. "Say it ain't so Joe" - a modern-day Reagan-to-Carter talking down to attempt. I wonder if that was planned for the "right" moment...she botched it, and it didn't work as well as she would have hoped.

credit != deduction.

I'm disappointed that she chose not to say that Sen. Biden "racks of disciprine"

So Palin is rambling? Ooh, that doesn't strike me as a good thing - at least, not for her team.

And here I thought Biden was going to be the one to ramble. He's with my guy, but he does have a habit of blathering on and inserting his foot into his mouth.
