VP Debate Thread

Dear moderator: Please insist that Palin answer the question she's asked. Quit letting her get away with "I'd actually rather talk about this other thing instead".

Both pretty even IMO, both doing better than the first presidential debate. That's in line with expectations, but she's handling details better than expected.

God, I hate that the vacuous domestic markets line got a positive response - not surprised, though.

Oh, and the constant tying in to Alaskan politics, while not inappropriate, is very grating. If Biden starts bringing up Delaware, I'm turning the TV off.

So is this debate about the merits and the views of the VP candidates or of those of the Pres. candidates? I constantly hear them saying "Obama this, McCain that", but hardly presenting their own views. Well, Biden does now and then, but Palin not. Why doesn't Biden take her to task for this?

Dang, Palin is nervous. Loved the "Barack Obama and Senator O'Biden" flub!

She's doing well to stay on her message, though, despite it not always really answering the question. ETA Oh yeah, and quite a bit of rambling on her part.

Has Biden had botox? His forehead is unnaturally smooth in the center and crinkles at the sides. I'm being serious here. I thought the Kerry-botox rumors were crap. I hate to be "that guy". Look at it and tell me what you think. I could be way off base here.

WIPE OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!! Bwaaaahahaha!!!

"These nations should not be met with unconditionally before ... diplomatic efforts have been made"? Does that make sense?

"These (leaders of these) nations should not be met with unconditionally before ... diplomatic efforts have been made"? Does that make sense?

With the insertion I made it does. I think its not a far stretch to assume that's what she meant.

Better than the Couric interview, but still rough.

Note to Biden: It's "different from," not "different than." Once is fine, but repeatedly is annoying.

She is getting more and more and more nervous and rambling throughout this debate. I'm hardly hearing anything that actually relates to the questions being asked; she keeps going off on tangents.
