Cyborgs?

Wow, LastChild, you're really reaching with that one.

ETA: No one has said that controlling a plane remotely is impossible in principle. The issue is, modifying a commercial airliner to allow this would require the dedicated work of thousands of people, every last one of whom would need to be trusted to act treasonously to his country and keep quiet about it. Every single one. Thousands.

You mean like how in your conspiracy theory everyone in al-Qaeda would need to keep quiet about it? Every single one? Thousands?

Or doesn't it work the same way for your story?

You mean the members of AQ aren't ideologically committed to their cause? They're just in it for the money?

Or is the next response going to be that maybe the aircraft techs didn't realise what their work was to accomplish? Of course, then those self same techs must have lived in a bubble since 2001, never realising that the plane they worked on was hijacked and used in a terrorist attack.

LastChild:
Are you claiming that the planes were remote controlled or are you just using up server space?

Are you claiming that remote control planes are more technologically difficult then remote control Cyborgs or are you just a waste of life?

There was never any kind of work done by anyone on any of the 9/11 planes ever? Well isn't that low maintenance? BTW you do mean the same planes that were never positively identified correct?

There's a HUGE difference - the AQ personnel were just a couple dozen. And they were supporting their ideology, not being treasonous to it. And they were not required to keep quiet about it for six years after the event because most of them were dead. The ones who are not dead have talked.

Do you really think that you could find thousands of Americans to treasonously kill 3000 of their countrymen, know they did it, and every single one of them has kept it quiet for six years? Really? Every single one would have the smoking gun to rat out the conspiracy. But not one gets second thoughts.

A cockroach with a chip on it which controlled its central nervous system was shown on the BBC's tomorrows world in 1996.

This is being done openly.

Its not a conspiracy.

Incidentally, on the brightside, imagine a neural interface that could bridge a break in the spinal cord and give a cripple the ability to walk... That would be cybernetic.

The problem with your analogy, there, is that everyone in Al-Qaeda wasn't involved in this particular plot. Pretty much the planners (KSM, OBL, Atta) and the operatives. No one else in the organization needed to know anything about it. That's how they've worked for years now.

Of course, you know that.

Unusual work with very little explanation as to what it's for? Or maybe you think the work was made to seem normal by installing this sooper seekrit technology on every boeing passenger plane? Seems a shame they now trumpet having developed the system when the techs are going to say "Hang on, we've already got one of those!"

BTW you do mean the same planes that were never positively identified correct?

I mean the ones which the airlines and the techs who work for them know are missing. You know, those ones.

Why would you think that? I think it's definitely technically possible to remote control a plane. Practical on the other hand.......not so much.

My question was to find out your point. Do you have one?

When you have to resort to something out of a bad sci fi movie ,and offer no solid proof, the argument is sort of over, isn't it?
It is interesting to see how the Truthers will reject solid evidence in favor of total nonsense, though.

It makes perfect sense to plan on creating technology in 2008 that you plan on using in 2001.

right?

Only if said technology can't be bargained with, can't be reasoned with, doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear, and absolutely will not stop - ever - until you are dead.

Diagrams: Boeing patents anti-terrorism auto-land system for hijacked airliners
DATE:01/12/06
By John Croft
Boeing last week received a US patent for a system that, once activated, removes all control from pilots to automatically return a commercial airliner to a predetermined landing location.

The “uninterruptible” autopilot would be activated – either by pilots, by onboard sensors, or even remotely via radio or satellite links by government agencies like the Central Intelligence Agency, if terrorists attempt to gain control of a flight deck.
if the government invents time travel at any point in the future they can send that technology back to 2001 and remote control the planes!!

Well, now there is something constructive you can do for your cause. Find the maintenance records for the airplanes, see what the longest time out of service they were, and determine if that was enough time to install your remote control system.

Yes I do. I was just checking to see if anyone else knew how covert operations work. Some people like to play dumb when it's convenient don't they?

Yeah that's right. Just because they're going public with it in 2006 means they just came up with it that day right?

How long was it again that they were selling planes overseas with our missile technology installed before anyone caught up with it again? You know when they got a penalty of a record fine?

Got some parts and serial numbers I could match those records with?
