Why is homosexuality wrong?

I believe that this is a learned behavior.

If we believe that God is the creator of souls and natures, then it is to our benefit to follow this God given gift.

God did create Adam and Steve. Moses didn't have enough money to pay the typesetter so Steve got shorten to Eve. And there were 15 commandments but we only found out 10 of them. The 14h commandment allows for men to stand with other men as a man would stand with a woman. Of course, nothing is said about lesbians.

His evidence that homosexuals die young turned out to come from a discredited liar, and he has yet to provide the evidence he claims shows that one third of all child molesters are homosexual. Don't hold your breath...

Well, of course. How could two women have actual sex (a lover of patriarchal hierarchies might ask)?

The Bible is full of references to God thinking about penises, and rules for handling a penis, or not handling it. In Catholic school I was even taught that there was a limit to post-urinary hygienic shaking of the part, lest one drift into the sin of enjoying something.

Most of the references to a ladies bits are pejorative and negative, such as women being unclean for various reasons. Women are only good enough to be a God-mommy if they have never used their bits, as if to suggest that women lose property value or become unholy when they are no longer virgins. It's lose/lose for women all throughout the Old Testament.

It is not necessary to know or care anything about an Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy in order to clearly see the Bible as a spiteful and twisted croc o'feces.

Therefore conclusions about moral or ethical behavior that are based on biblical drivel are without any legitimate basis.

While XenonII and his rantings may be good for amusement, his source of authority is illegitimate.

I'd have to see some slight bit of evidence indicating the existence of his God before I'd begin to care about what she says. Simply saying that the Bible is the word of Super Sky Daddy because the Bible says so is good for nothing more than a laugh.
 
Expanding on DoubtingStephen's post, I wonder how seriously XenonII does take the bible. After all, first he tells us that the OT is no longer in force (eating shellfish and wearing poly/cotton blends), but then tells us it is an abomination for me to wear jeans based on the OT. (Fine, I'll walk around in my undies. Better?)

It really makes me want to take a page out of RandFan's favorite passages and go sit on the hood of XenonII's car when I am enjoying "that time of month." :cool:
