Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

It is elementary nonsense that the favourite argument of your camp runs, "the scale of involvement by all manner of people would be ridiculous" because if something is Top Secret then of course, only a tiny handful of people would know of it.
That's a dishonest misrepresentation. The real argument is that the claims put forth by the conspiracy theorists are such that millions of experts, worldwide, for more than half a century would all need to be too stupid to see something so blindingly obvious that a bunch of troglodytes with little to no knowledge of the relevant subjects have been able to blow it wide open by watching some YouTube videos and cherry picking from Google and Bing, or that they've all been enticed or coerced into maintaining the hoax for generations.

But you don't like that the actual argument makes yours look as silly as it is, so you make yourself a straw man to argue against.

It's a very good point, which might be sailing over Vixen's head, that the three main ground receiving stations communicating with Apollo, in the US, Spain and Australia, were handing over to each other after multiple hours, as the earth turned. That's a matter of record.

It would not have worked if the Apollo craft had secretly been in low earth orbit as objects in that orbit take only around 90 minutes to orbit the earth.
Not only is it impossible to point a large radio telescope at a low Earth orbiting object for hours at a time, it's impossible for the largest of those dishes to slew fast enough to track a low Earth orbiting object.

I am not in the habit of lying.
The problem is as I see it from Allen's POV is that the debunking explanations re his queries about shadows, lighting and dark skies seem to be on a level of insulting the intelligence of a primary school class. For example, Dr. Tony Cook in the OP video brushes it off by showing us pix of shadows going every which way in a local street and then we are given the facile, oh try taking a pic of the night sky whilst standing under a street lamp, as if the average photographer doesn't understand how lighting and apertures work. Please! I've taken pics of the night sky. No problem in catching the stars.
Yes, you are.

No, I clearly stated it was AI generated.
Which doesn't make it any less ridiculous to present it as evidence. All you did was tell us that you couldn't find any actual photographic evidence to support you claim, so you presented some AI slop. What do you think it proved, other than that?

"Your honor, I present this crayon drawing my five-year-old daughter made of the defendant stealing a unicorn's crown from the residence he's accused of burgling, for the jury's consideration. She's informed me that those are 'stink lines' radiating from the defendant."

She's tried that before, as well:

Cool. Neal Armstrong flew 78 combat missions over Korea, and ejected from his plane at one point. After that he began his stint as a test pilot down at Edwards AFB. One of his first flights was copiloting a B-29 which was to drop a test rocket-plane when an engine failed, and he and the pilto had to get the rocket plane launched before the propeller came loose, which they did. The propeller then flew off, and damaged the other engine, and the two pilots managed to land with the two remaining engines. While at Edwards he flew over 200 different aircraft types including all of the F-100 series, the B-47, and a KC-135. He also flew the Bell X1B, and the legendary X-15. His work in the Gemini Program is legendary as well. Armstrong's bio is full of mechanical failures, rough landings, and lucky breaks.

So my question is how does one read the body language of a guy like Armstrong?

What I see on that video is a guy who just wants to go home and be with his family, a guy with zero tollerance for media BS.

Oh yeah, Neal Armstrong WAS rocket scientist.

I am sure Armstrong is legendary, iconic, amazing, or whatever. I never said he wasn't. I am not sure what hero worship has to do with this. we all have fathers and grandfathers who did heroic things in the war. I am sure Armstrong was well paid and well regarded by all.

Not with their zap pits etc. intact. And they acquire telltale oxides in the process.

Understandable, since they represent a precious limited resource. Not anyone can go into the British Museum and ask to chip off a piece of the Rosetta Stone for giggles.

But the experts who do examine them are convinced they are genuine lunar samples and not from Earth. Are they also in on the conspiracy?

I understand similar rocks can be found in Antarctica. You do know the Moon and the Earth once split off from each other, so aren't that different in structure, except that the Moon is largely dehydrated.

You are seriously trying to say that a "tiny handful' of people can pull a stunt that 400,000 scientists and engineers who work on the project would not notice? Not to mention journalists who would love to expose a lie like that, and get the Pulitzer Prize for it? An then there is the Soviet Union who had spies everywhere …
You claim that we are too deep emotionally into this, but you are looking at objectively?

:sdl:

Actually, I think I am running out of laughing dogs. I am gradually feeling more sorry for you. Accusing others of emotional attachment, when you are resorting to lies and gibberish in order to keep pretending that there is even a scrap of evidence in support of your conspiracy theory.

The best you can come up with is evidence that doesn't contradict your conspiracy theory, but no evidence that supports it. And the mountain of evidence in support of the Moon landing is simply brushed away or ignored.
As I said, it wasn't intended to be a stunt, it was a genuine desire to be first on the Moon.
