Has anyone already had "The History Channel will commission a documentary where people who've also written books on the subject investigate whether he actually died or not"?
Oh good one!So Turkey invented dissing autocratic leaders!
You lucky ◊◊◊◊.Just returned from nearly a month almost news-free in Greece and Turkey. One of our Turkish guides was a vehement hater of Erdogan , whom he referred to as "he who shall not be named," and others like him, and I did get a laugh when he asked how we would feel if a certain other leader of that sort should die in our absence and I said I would regret it because I would be too far away to piss on his grave. Even here alas it would be figurative only, but I'm hydrating just in case.
Lying face down on the couch??As I have written several times already, I think that the correct model to look for if Trump dies in office is Venezuela. When the popular dictator Chávez dies, the non-entity vice president Maduro was able to take the reins and and keep them. Vance is in a very good position.
No argument there!You lucky ◊◊◊◊.
I'm hoping the UK can send a team of morris dancers as our official representatives at the state funeral.
Could be but how strong is that GOP without the head of their cult?I think you're certainly right about the MAGA Trump cult but the Republican Party will still be there, pushed further to the right, the Overton Window shifted and authoritarian actions normalised and with the fascists who've been whispering in Trumps ear firmly embedded like ticks in a dog's back.
Pretty sure it was manufactured and sold to Maga-minions.... I don't understand the hatred of immigrants. ...
Fortunately none of the scenarios in those countries is anything close to how we got here.Lenin died. The Soviet Union went on for another 65 years.
Mao died. The PRC is still going.
Kim Il Sung died. North Korea is still run by his family.
Yeah, Hitler died and Nazi Germany ended, but that was only because it was defeated in war.
The Trump dictatorship will survive him. There may be a brief power struggle.

Just the idea of one of Trumps offspring picking up the reins is laughable and, thanks to his 'rats in a sack' management style, he's not groomed anyone as a successor.Fortunately none of the scenarios in those countries is anything close to how we got here.
He hasn't, but his minders certainly have.Just the idea of one of Trumps offspring picking up the reins is laughable and, thanks to his 'rats in a sack' management style, he's not groomed anyone as a successor.
Ehhh.He hasn't, but his minders certainly have.
Which is certainly why the real ideologues behind him keep him, but I would be surprised if they were stupid enough not to have planned for the day after his demise.Ehhh.
Whether I like the word or not Trump has a certain charisma amongst his base that I don't think anyone else in the GOP does. It's only his cult of personality that's holding everything together at the moment, it's also why I think that when he does fall over there's not going to be splits or fractures but all out schisms as they all try to grab as much power as possible
