Isn't that concept of "hate speech" the very thing they've been criticizing when claiming Britain has no real freedom of speech like the Land Of the Free does?
But weren't the Klan and those corrupt authorities Southern Democrats? But if you did, you'd have to include the Klan violence around the civil rights movement and the institutional violence from corrupt Southern authorities trying to enforce illegal laws against black Americans.

It’s important to remember that everyone who was complaining about college kids protesting right wing speakers on campus and are silent about this never actually cared about free speech.

The thing is, in the Lucy Connelly case, she said what she did in the heat of an argument, in the fallout of the brutal and sadistic murder of three pre-teen girls by a Rwandan immigrant at a children's party, having lost her own child to a hospital's medical negligence.. She regretted saying what she did, and walked it back within 90 minutes by deleting the post - a post that only a few dozen people ever saw. For that she was sentenced to two and a half years in jail. When they're lauding Lucy Connelly it's encitement to burning people alive they think should be decriminalised.
I don't know. You tell me!Yes. And then what happened?

In the same week as her sentencing, two child rapists got suspended sentences of 18 and 24 months.
It's not so much that she was jailed for an ill-advised Tweet that made people angry, so much as the posting of a nasty Tweet was deemed to be a worse offence, and received a more severe punishment, than raping a child.

Because a few words she regretted saying in the heat of the moment and quickly walked back are a far more heinous crime than raping children... amirite. She was encouraging arson on inhabited buildings. Arson which was attempted in the riots.
Doesn't change the fact that they were Democrats at the time.
FTFYThe murderer was born in Wales to Rwandan immigrant Christian parents.

I was illustrating the point made by someone earlier about the folly of going back and using historical behaviour to justify a stance on current behaviour. The way the Republican party and it's ilk are behaving NOW is the issue, not the way they behaved in the past.
You are mixing facts into the debate again, that will never go over well. The murderer was born in Wales to Christian parents.
When is it ok to incite violence?Because a few words she regretted saying in the heat of the moment and quickly walked back are a far more heinous crime than raping children... amirite.
