given the comments about Kirk in Heaven (or Valhalla as in one prominent case), it is hard to see how any of his fans, supporters and leeches are even remotely Christian. They are dripping with distain for their God. They Faith is only ever a weapon. They haven't understood anything about the teaching of their Lord and Saviour.

Ok, not really fair of me, I've known many good and loving chistians. One of my best friends in the world is a very faithful mormon. I've known him for over 55 years and he is as good a person as I've ever met. Far better than me. But like any large group you have good and bad folks. I guess the bad people who claim a high horse for being christian chap my ass because they talk about love and goodness while spitting hate.

I suppose those people exist in all groups. But it still chaps my ass.

But if you did, you'd have to include the Klan violence around the civil rights movement and the institutional violence from corrupt Southern authorities trying to enforce illegal laws against black Americans.

on a note the FBI ‘believes’ existed: “The written note we believe did exist.. evidence of its existence we now have learned existed before the shooting… even though it has been destroyed we have found forensic evidence of the note…”

Watters: These people are incapable of turning the temperature down. So it's our responsibility to do it for them for the safety of the country and for their own safety.

Their heinous movement should be politically destroyed, systematically dismantled. Their financial backing should be bankrupted, their media sponsors defeated in the marketplace, their candidates beaten at the ballot box.

And their acolytes in academia, behind the pulpit, in city councils and corporate America will be spotlighted and given one chance to confess and apologize. If they don't, thrown out of polite society. We cannot live with people and work with people like this. They can't teach our children, they can't be trusted with power and positions of authority.

Not exactly pouring cold water on it.

We have a load of people with motivation to lie about the shooter's intent (including the shooter, see below as to why) and against that, we have very clear evidence of his participation in the alt right groyper subculture. Something which influenced his actions sufficiently for him to leave memes as messages.

A nihilistic right-wing subculture of despair and self-lothing where the only agency one has is to accelerate "The Collapse" but unlike many others wishing for that, not to build something back better for them afterwards, but just so everyone else becomes losers too.

If this is the case it wouldn't be a typical terrorist act where they want their manifesto in public, but an act to gain notoriety, and even better if a group he really hates gets the blame and suffers for it.
