Politico reported, "Speaking on the “Ultimate Human” podcast, Kennedy said the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association and The Lancet, three of the most influential medical journals in the world, were “corrupt” and publish studies funded and approved by pharmaceutical companies. “Unless those journals change dramatically, we are going to stop NIH scientists from publishing in them and we’re going to create our own journals in-house,” he said, referring to the National Institutes of Health, an HHS agency that is the world’s largest funder of health research....It [the MAHA report] also comes after both JAMA and the NEJM
received letters from the Department of Justice probing them for partisanship."
Politico had previously
reported that in April RFK Jr. visited the FDA: "Over the course of 40 minutes, Kennedy, in largely off-the-cuff remarks, asserted that the “Deep State” is real, referenced past CIA experiments on human mind control and accused the employees he was speaking to of becoming a “sock puppet” of the industries they regulate."

Rethinking Medications: Truth, Power, and the Drugs You Take by [Professor] Jerry Avorn presents a critical appraisal of the state of the prescription medications in the United States. It explores the complex relationships among drug companies, regulators, prescribers, academics, and patients. The book is part history of US drug regulation, part critique of the
status quo, and finally, a roadmap for a better path forward...This is an important book for our time. Dr. Avorn builds his case skillfully and litigates his recommendations for reform persuasively. It is appropriate reading for medical professionals, policy makers, pharmaceutical professionals, and healthcare consumers. Highly recommended!"
