Trump's Second Term

Well, diet Coke is American. And nutraseet is still cheap. Trump and RFK Jr just eat fried chicken. Nothing perishable that is not washed with bleach and frozen first.
I remember a throwaway line in World War Z about coke and how producing it requires materials from at least 10 different countries. So yeah, a post apocalyptic book now can be used to explain real life.

But hey, trans people get hurt more, so a win!

Not a cult

Leavitt on Shedeur Sanders: "All I will say is the president put out a statement, and a few rounds later he was drafted, so I think the facts speak for themselves."
Sanders was drafted in the depths of the fifth round. Based on what's been emerging since the combines, he's got an awful lot of work in front of him to reach journeyman QB3.

But then again he was endorsed by both Trampy and Jerry Jones.

It's not even Bukele that says who is in there. It is the gangs in charge of Bukele. Prople from the wrong gangs are in there for life. So it is not going to reform anyone. Those are the actual results. Bukele will feed them and house the US sent men only as long as Trump pays.
Innocent El Salvadoeans and foreign residents/tourists make up the bulk of the prison populations.

Don't count him out. He can win a golf tournament just by turning up. If he can't win some provincial election in a cherished soon-to-be state, then it must be a fix and he's been cheated again.
He wins tournaments he doesn't even show up to. One of Trampy's frequent trips was to make up urgent appointments if one of his club's tournaments had a strong field, ring up at the end of the day to find the winning score and announce that he's shot two strokes lower at whatever club he was drinking at and declare himself the winner.

How does that work? Even if he weren't lying, why would a score on one course, in potentially very different conditions, count in a tournament held on a completely different course?

Commander in cheat? Donald Trump's 18 golf tournament wins examined.

In an extract from his book on Donald Trump and golf, Rick Reilly explains why the president’s game can tell us more about him than a roomful of psychologists

Donald’s Trump’s boast about winning 18 club championships is a lie that’s so over-the-top Crazytown it loses all credibility among golfers the second it’s out of his mouth. To double check, I called the only guy who could come close: George “Buddy” Marucci, of Philadelphia. Like Trump, Marucci belongs to more clubs than you can fit in your bag. Like Trump, he’s in the right age bracket, at six years younger than Trump. Like Trump, he’s got all the money he needs to play as many club championships as he can fly to. Unlike Trump, he’s as fine a golfing businessman as you can find. Marucci took 19-year-old Tiger Woods – 24 years his junior – to the last hole of the 1995 US Amateur before finally losing.
Lots more at the link, I've got the book and it's a must-read. Available here.

ETA: Anyone who's played golf can look at his swing and tell you he could never win a tournament.

The Project 2025 plans that Trump will follow most intensely nclude the two items that got him the win:
1 foreigners as rapists / Hannibal Lecter / confusing "assylum"
2 trans gender women
“In the past, the word ‘gender’ was a polite alternative to the word ‘sex’ or term ‘biological sex,’” Primorac writes. “The Left has commandeered the term ‘gender,’ which used to mean either ‘male’ or ‘female,’ to include a spectrum of others who are seeking to alter biological and societal sexual norms.”
On his first day in office, Trump signed an executive order that purports to define sex as binary. “It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female. These sexes are not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality,” the order states. “Efforts to eradicate the biological reality of sex fundamentally attack women by depriving them of their dignity, safety, and well-being.” The order also dissolved the White House Gender Policy Council, created by former President Joe Biden.
Trump also signed an executive order banning transgender women from women’s sports. The Defense Department says it will not accept transgender recruits for the armed forces, and will begin kicking out transgender service members currently in the military. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has moved to drop a discrimination case focused on gender identity, and the Education Department says it will enforce Title IX only to consider “biological sex.”

That doesn't really address my question at all. I know Trump is a notorious cheat (at golf, and life). My question is how on earth a score on one course could ever count as valid in a tournament on a completely different course. Is it an accepted thing, or just another thing Trump has made up?

The course Trump played on was hugely, bigly, enormously more tricky than the one everyone else played on. It's like he'd given everyone else two, four, eight strokes and he still won.

(You appear to be seeking sanity in an insane man working for a broken institution in a divided country. I think you might be somewhat out of luck. Once again, this is appropriate:

“The President in particular is very much a figurehead—he wields no real power whatsoever. He is apparently chosen by the government, but the qualities he is required to display are not those of leadership but those of finely judged outrage. For this reason the President is always a controversial choice, always an infuriating but fascinating character. His job is not to wield power but to draw attention away from it. On those criteria Zaphod Beeblebrox is one of the most successful Presidents the Galaxy has ever had—he has already spent two of his ten presidential years in prison for fraud.”

Douglas Adams

Mr Trump is doing his job brilliantly.)

The simple answer is that he is a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ cheating ◊◊◊◊.

ETA: It is absolutely not usual, and I would hazard to say that it has only ever happened at a Trumpf course, in his favour.

REPORTER: Amazon will soon display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much the Trump tariffs are adding. Isn't that a perfect demonstration that it's the American consumer who is paying for these policies?

LEAVITT: This is a hostile and political act by Amazon.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

(Any persons found peering behind the curtain, looking at the curtain or acknowledging the existence of the curtain will find their mugshot on the white house lawn. Did I mention they're building more prisons in El Salvador..?

Okay, I hate Amazon, but this I actually like. Even if they're doing it for their own backhanded reasons.
