Cheating I have no problem with - you've bought a game do as you want with it - to me it was his deceit and his lie that he was a top 20 Diablo 4 player that is the troublesome part.

Diablo-gate was weird. I mean, why would anyone want a title of "best gamer" for a game they aren't even playing?
I had a person at work that set up a way to cheat Duolingo. He had one phone talking to the other phone to get extremely high scores and such. He made no effort to actually play the game and wasn't interested in learning another language. This guy was a narcissist, maybe it's a trait of narcissists to be considered "the best" at things no matter what.

If you playing solo, I agree....I have used a couple of cheat codes in my time if I am stuck on a level....but it you playing on line with othe people it becomes not OK. That I am a pretty big Diablo 4 fan adds to that.

i think he sees this as a demographic to manipulate and does things he thinks they like. he clearly doesn’t like gaming but needs to be a based gamer against the woke so they’ll support his agenda later. he also has that little respect for them and that high of an opinion of himself that he thought he could pull that off. and honestly, he was right because they didn’t really care

See, they are playing a different game to what was intended, by using different rules. The "proper" rules of Duolingo are to teach a person a language efficiently. Their rules were to find a method to manipulate Duolingo to amass a very high score ASAP. In reality, it could have been any game or system at all, really. It's out-of-the-box thinking. However it was also for personal aggrandisement - narcissism.

I wonder what will happen when the government employees realise they don't have to take orders from Muskrat. He is not even the boss of DOGE, apparently. Certainly he is not a government employee. So all his "DOGE power" is illusory. Only the weak minded drones are doing his bidding, like shutting email accounts and removing access. All it needs is for some government employees to say NO to his face in public, lock the doors in DOGE's face, and go back to work. What is Muskrat to do? Come in with guns? That would be great TV!

Legal Eagle on YouTube had much to say on this, which other law commentators have apparently missed. There are three "DOGE" entities in government, apparently structured to create a shell game when dealing with other government operations. The DOGE that Elon Musk is involved with has no power. The DOGE that has any sort of color of government authority has no involvement with Musk.
Doxxing and bullying people on Twitter seems to be working, including against the judges who correctly rule against his ultra vires thuggery. Getting that doddering orangutan to sing his praises from the Oval Office seems to work.
Those of us who recognize Elon Musk as a thin-skinned, narcissistic fraud and bully have always seen him that way. We were never fooled. Those who were fooled remained happily fooled, and probably won't be brought to the truth by anything that's happening now.
Congress is worse than useless at this point, so no help there. Checks and balances presume the willingness of the officers to operate them. All the legal challenges will ultimately arrive at the Supreme Court, which is thoroughly in Donald Trump's pocket at this point.

No, they don't have that risk. DOGE and Musk cannot legally fire them. Of course, if the employees believe that Musk has that power and resign, the outcomes are on them. They will be very sad when they discover he lied and doesn't have the power to recompense them as promised either.
