Merged Trump shot in PA??

They've released that explosive devices were found in Thomas Crooks' car.
Explosive devices have reportedly been discovered inside the car of the suspected shooter who tried to assassinate Donald Trump at a campaign rally on Saturday – using a gun believed to have been purchased by the 20-year-old’s father just six months earlier. UK Independent

I'm actually not sure what is worse:
- The fact that he missed.
- Or the aftermath if he hadn't.

I'm having a hard time realistically estimating the aftermath of a successful assassination.
Instant riots?
Civil war?
MAGA in dismay?
MAGA lost without their leader?
Would they find someone fairly soon or would it end MAGA because of all the fighting that would happen about his replacement?

I do need an explanation how a 5.56 can just graze you.
As I understand it, there should be way more damage if the bullet impacted enough to cause bleeding.

Do they reuse the Magic Bullet for all presidential assassinations?

I'm glad he missed as assassinations are no way to do politics in a democracy, but I would certainly have felt safer if the bullet had gone a few inches to the left.

I can tell you what would have been the actual feeling of most:

Relief.

Trump is so much more useful, convenient and cheaper as a Martyr than as the actual person.

MAGA loses nothing without Trump, just like it didn't need Q for Q. But it would leave more money if they no longer have to donate to him.

NBC says the dead shooter, 20 yr old Thomas Matthew Crooks, lives just south of Pittsburgh, and according to public records, there is a registered republican with the same name and birthdate in that town. So how does Tump spin that?
It is already being spun using the typical No True Scotman fallacy. They claim the shooter had previously registered as a Republican to vote against Trump in the primary.

The wretched youth imagined that he could achieve something good by doing an evil act. So did Gavril Prinçip.

You need an explanation of a graze? Seriously?

The size of the round is irrelevant to whether or not a graze wound results. You could get such a wound from a .50-caliber round. If the bullet hits you on its edge, that's a graze.

*raises hand*

Couldn't God have had a snake bite the shooter, or made the shooter have a heart attack or something, without the other people dead and wounded? Or is God's power limited to blowing on bullet trajectories?

No. If the shooter dies before ever taking the shot, nobody ever knows what could have transpired. Only by dramatically saving him from death on stage in front of hundreds of his followers can He impress upon them that He favors Trump enough to protect him from bullets.

The dead audience member was a faithless RINO. The injured were starting to question and needed correction.

BTW, there were multiple MAGA people seeing and filming the guy with his rifle.
Why didn't anyone of them shoot him?
No good guy with a gun?
No one willing to save dear leader?
No one fit enough to climb up to the roof and get him?

'Oh look, there is someone trying to kill our dear leader! Get your phones out people...'

Ok, I'm being sarcastic...

The discussion of the ear hot reminds me of an old scene in Rockford Files.

Rockford has received a grazing injury on his head and is getting treated by his client.

Client: Two inches to the right and he it have killed you!

Rockford: Yeah, look at this way. Two inches the left and he would have missed me altogether.

Because they were all in on it, it was a choreographed false flag with crisis actors and it was just meant to further Trump's ploy as always being the victim, hence more $. ;)

I think this.

Seems to me that, among the not insignificant number of them around the country who dress and prep and dream of civil war, enough Trump followers would think: okay, all bets are now off.

House and Senate Democratic regional/county/district offices, local Democratic offices, poll workers, national and local media offices, state government buildings irrespective of those who work in them, homes of those who occupy any aforementioned offices, random drivers of EVs (probably liberals!) and who knows who else would likely be considered fair game.

National and world financial markets would probably bounce around in the ongoing near chaos.

State and national (the president) leaders might then find the need to impose some degree of crackdown or emergency procedures, perhaps indefinitely.

Were this attempt successful, the GOP convention attendees would furiously (during nonstop television coverage) try to outdo each other for calls of revenge and retribution, in turn keeping the population fired up.

I could go on.

This whole scenario is so ******* insane that it's hard to wrap your head around the many ways it can be spun or interpreted. The one thing I keep coming back to is that authoritarianism thrives in times of extreme political and social turmoil. That's the scariest conclusion...
