Guiliani Suspended from Practicing Law

No, my definition is limited to him being in jail, it's rather broader than that.

For all of his apparent legal woes, his lifestyle isn't constrained one jot. He doesn't appear to be personally out of pocket, his businesses continue to operate and he can behave exactly as he wishes.

Even if found guilty on any or all of the charges, or seems like he will avoid meaningful (to him) punishment firstly by appealing (with other people's money) and then by any punishment being merely a slap on the wrist.

You think his life isn't being extremely negatively affected right now by all the legal problems he's facing. I do. His life right now is dominated by the prospect of multiple trials that, despite his rhetoric to the contrary, he knows could well make him a convicted felon. He won't get a slap on the wrist because they aren't slap on the wrist offenses. This article explains the sentencing guidelines Trump will be facing if convicted.

I understand that. But this is common practice.

A trust account can be held at his attorney. Estate attorneys manage estate funds until they are disbursed to the heirs. Tacopina is an officer of the court and has swore that the money is in his possession. If Trump exhausts his appeals and Tacopina doesn’t release the funds, Tacopina would be guilty of a felony.

You have eased my concerns.

He's still living his "billionaire" lifestyle, still not paying his legal bills from his own pocket, there's no prospect of him paying his sexual harassment judgement and any sentences are years in the future if they ever happen.

Ok.. have it your way. Donnie is just living a carefree billionaire lifestyle with no worries hanging over his head every minute of the day, he's not been legally found to have sexually assaulted a woman, his$5 million isn't in a trust account pending an appeal that he'll likely lose as he has no grounds, and the prospect of being a convicted felon on several serious federal and state charges isn't bothering him at all. Life is just a bowl of cherries for him, ain't it?

I admit I'm a pessimist when it comes to Trump getting his "comeuppance". Have been, since I was a little kid in the 1980s. In my opinion, he doesn't care about things like his "legacy" or whether anyone knows about his proclivity to sexual assault. Embarrassment as normal people experience it, isn't something he seems to feel. As far as I can tell, he's an In the Moment Winner/Loser kinda guy. Who knows, maybe this time, after all the previous decades, is the charm. But I don't blame anyone for being doubtful. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, I just don't see any reason to invest energy into hoping he gets his just desserts, and would rather act as though he won't suffer any consequences, so we can focus on defeating him in the next election. The people that vote for him will absolutely not care anymore than they have previously about his gross acts.

As I said earlier, I think that attitude is a form of emotional self-protection. By not expecting anything/playing it down, you minimize the emotional impact if he gets away with it.

It's like telling yourself repeatedly you won't get that car for your 16th birthday even though deep down you really hope your parents will surprise you after all.

Giuliani admits lying in Court filing.

Not necessarily about his law license although it is pertinent.

Last night Rudy Giuliani confessed in a court filing that he lied about Trump election fraud. After the election, Rudy many times accused election workers of rigging the election by hacking into the voting machihes. He pointed to two election workers passing a mint to each other. Rudy said the workers (Ruby and Shane Moss) were passing USB sticks like they were vials of cocaine.

He admitted defaming them, but now says this was protected speech.

I was thinking maybe he wants to only be responsible for a small portion of the damages.

"Your Honor, my client pleads guilty but feels he is only responsible for a small portion of the damages. The total needs to be spread out among all the people that caused these women harm." [paraphrasing because I don't know how you would word that in a court.]

Rudi is such a sad clown, he probably thinks Trump is still his friend who will bail him out, legally and financially, when he gets back into the White House

He said because he has confessed no more discovery is necessary. Seems like he's still covering for Trump.
