The Russian Invasion of the Ukraine.

Again, this is talking out of one's ass. We have no idea, none what Harris's involvement has been in foreign policy. Maybe it is nothing and maybe it is significant. It is sad that some individuals allow their hatred and bigotry to cloud their perspective.

We actually do have some idea of her involvement in foreign policy, because we have reports of her involvement in foreign policy, from her last visit to Europe to discuss the Ukraine situation. We don't have a complete idea, but it's wrong to say we have "no idea, none".

So he's always been a real Communist?

I suggest you educate yourself on what the actual philosophy of communism is. China and Russia never really practiced true communism but their authoritarian interpretation of it needed to maintain the ruling elites' power.

Putin never believed in equality for all Russians where all property is commonly owned and each paid according to ability and need. He's always been a power hungry POS.

Nobody ever practiced true communism on a national level. Putin looks exactly like every other "communist" who's pretended to try.

Please return to the topic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine; if you want to discuss the popularity or competence of VP Harris then do so in an appropriate thread.

Sorry if this has already been posted, and even sorrier regardless:
Washington’s Newest Worry: The Dangers of Cornering Putin

Senior White House officials designing the strategy to confront Russia have begun quietly debating a new concern: that the avalanche of sanctions directed at Moscow, which have gained speed faster than they imagined, is cornering President Vladimir V. Putin and may prompt him to lash out, perhaps expanding the conflict beyond Ukraine.

The US has already very deliberately cornered Putin/Russia. These "Senior White House officials" are either being remarkably oblivious or cynically dishonest.

Forever War in Ukraine or End of Unipolar World?

Interview with Mark Sleboda (International relations and security analyst, US Navy vet, based in Moscow.)

A judge has frozen UK bank accounts operated by a British businessman amid allegations they are linked to one of Russia's most controversial oligarchs.

Accounts linked to Graham Bonham-Carter, second cousin of actress Helena, and part of the extended famous family, were put on hold on Friday.

National Crime Agency investigators believe the accounts were being used to help Oleg Deripaska avoid sanctions.
It is alleged Mr Bonham-Carter manages property on behalf of the oligarch.
Granting the order, Westminster Magistrates Court has given the National Crime Agency six months to investigate the accounts, in one of the first public court moves against an oligarch since the Ukraine crisis began.

Huh?

How many nation states have had democracy successfully imposed from the outside?

It's been a couple of generations, but I sincerely believe the Marshall Plan in conjunction with Germany and Japan's occupation were successful at this.

Mark Sleboda is a third rate propagandist working for various Kremlin outlets. Of course.

No he's not. He has a very good record of accurately predicting geo-political outcomes.

<< In 2014 Russia Today’s British channel was censured by the UK media regulator for coverage involving Sleboda. It was found to have breached the broadcasting code on impartiality over its coverage of the Ukraine crisis, including for one report in which Sleboda described the Ukrainian administration as a “putsch government” that came to power with the help of “a number of extremists”. >>

This is an accurate description of the 2014 coup.

What's the old saying; You can't put them back on the farm after they've seen Paris?

I know it's a different context than your post was going for, but the Soviets knew this and it was actually a bad thing that they did.

Specifically, the soldiers that first advanced into Berlin were able to see that the stories about Russia being the pinnacle of technological advancement, architecture, consumer goods, and cultural sophistication were colossal fabrications.

The consequence was that these battalions were branded as high risk for disloyalty, and closely monitored. I recall reading an analysis that being caught writing home with this type of information, or keeping a diary, were capital crimes until the 50s.

In the same way, with this degree of lockdown on dissenting information, I'm anticipating Russian political officers and secret police are well aware of the risk from the Ukrainian invasion force, and that their fates are sealed.

Putin had no choice to invade Ukraine for wanting to be an independent country! The Americans made him do it!

War is peace and slavery is freedom. Truly.

Why? Everyone in Russia knows what life is like outside Russia. They have been living the same lifestyle.
