I keep thinking about the Schitt's Creek episode where Moira is 'Streaming' and going 'Viral' regarding her movie The Crows have Eyes 3- The Crowening. Come on Joe, get with the Intrawebs and start putting out VIRAL videos...

Where is Biden? He hasn't been in the media spotlight for a bit. Dammit!!! He's letting Trump get away with lying to the American people about the response to covid-19.

I guess it's just the nature of the news cycle. Biden may be a good leader to have for a pandemic (or at least better than what we have now) but at this point he has no real power to deal with any issues, and with the primaries taking a back seat, there is not much reason for news organizations to be talking about him.

Joe Biden is planning a regular shadow briefing on coronavirus to start as early as Monday to show how he would handle the crisis and address what he calls the lies and failures of President Trump.

Apparently he announced to "reporters" on Friday. I'm not sure why it's not making a bigger splash. Maybe they're holding off until he's done his big reveal? That's supposed to happen today, so we may be getting a lot more Biden any minute now.

Yeah, depends on what this is. Could range from pointless to actually pretty compelling, depending on who he has on this cabinet and what they propose. If they are coordinating with the Dem congress to actually start pushing through legislature, it could be important.

Right now Trump is claiming great progress is being made on vaccines and treatments, and multiple reports say he's talking about ending "shelter in place" and telling people to go back to work. If Trump does crazy stuff, and Biden says "This is crazy, and here's why," that could have a lot of impact.

Primaries in Pennsylvania aren't until the end of April, so I don't quite understand the "you voted for him" part of your post.

I specifically pointed out that the "man with the plan" is Warren.

I have been fairly consistent for the last six months or so that Bidens' VP would need to do all the heavy lifting, because his only contribution is his electability in the States that need to be taken back.

It's still not clear to me how Warren et. whomever will be doing all the heavy lifting without Biden looking weak and ineffectual. Or why Biden, who's ambition it is to be POTUS, would allow the second banana to be perceived as the heavy lifter.

The president's primary job is to appoint competent people to senior positions and make the policy decisions that can't be made by anybody else. Why would anyone imagine that Biden can't and won't do those things?

Because we are talking about Biden's current strategy to win the election and not what happens after he wins the election. If his current strategy is to hang back (as per Distracted1) and let Warren do all the heavy lifting during the campaign do you think that would be a winning course of action to take?

I think his ambition at one time was to be President. Now I think he is running more out of a sense (misguided or not) of duty- he has been the favorite to unseat Trump for quite a while now.
IMO he made that clear months ago when he admitted to being a one-term Pres.

I think he admitted to being a one term prez due to his age.

I find the argument that he's running with the idea to basically be a figurehead silly.

If it is little more than "a return to the days pre-Trump" then his only plank is the defeat of Trump. That is fine with me BTW, and he knows that it is.
I think trying to make him out to be something more than that is a little insulting to the intelligence of the voters.

I am a registered medical radiographer who graduated right when the job market in radiography fell into a black hole. People tell me it's improved since then, but that only helps new graduates and people with experience, not people who graduated several years ago and never got experience. (Yes, we all actually essentially did the job for a while during school, but that doesn't count for experience; only getting paid for it does.) Since then, after several years of crappy jobs and poverty, I've almost blindly wandered into a pretty good job in another field of work that I wasn't even aware of the existence of before. I get paid a bit less than if I were doing X-rays, but I think I actually enjoy my current work more than I would have enjoyed that anyway. I have practically no incentive to even bother trying to ever find my way back to X-ray world. But the thought still crosses my mind from time to time... for no reason other than the fact that it's the only major life move I ever tried to make and couldn't. Trying & failing at something that big, which would have in a way redefined what your life was, can stick in some corner of your brain, seemingly indefinitely.

The course of the illness is pretty swift, right? Short of dying of the illness, I don't see why a politician that gets the virus couldn't be back in action after a few weeks.
