I really think we should get Ivanka and Jerrods' opinion on how this gas company could have put someone so unqualified in an executive position.
For some reason, I feel like they might have some unique insights into it.

Yeah, being "on the board of directors" of any company doesn't necessarily mean a lot. My cousin is very wealthy and sits on about a dozen boards. He's a very active participant on two of them and does little or nothing on the others besides showing up for maybe two meetings a year.

It's not a summary. It purports to be a transcript, but it was not directly transcribed from the call itself; it's a recreation supposedly based on several individuals' notes taken as they listened to the call.

It seems that he is denying this reporting:

"Maguire denied the report on Wednesday, asserting in a statement that "at no time have I considered resigning my position since assuming this role on Aug. 16, 2019."
"I have never quit anything in my life, and I am not going to start now," he added. "I am committed to leading the Intelligence Community to address the diverse and complex threats facing our nation."

there is no real transcript.

there is a memo of people present's recall of the conversation from notes they made. There is no way to know how accurate it is and how many gaps there are.


This alone probably violates Record Keeping obligations.

Nor I.

My problem is that I just don't trust that any "official" transcript is really verbatim. Dump, Barr, et. al. have shown no hesitation in "fudging" official papers. In this case, doing so has real potential to sway how the whole issue plays out.

I wish there was an official, unbiased, third-party involved in such record keeping.

...worse, they are nearly mutuallly exclusive. To paraphrase an ex-president who has to be the happiest guy that Dump has removed all doubt about the winner of the "worst president" derby, "You're either for us or for Trump!" :)

This has been answered a few times but... it's more like a kinda sorta not really a transcript transcript. Either way, looks like a slightly redacted actual transcript might be released in the morning? It's apparently been declassified, now.

It's honestly hard to tell if the guy's source was serious or if, well, this is pushing for a shield against the consequences of pointly scoffing at the value of law, tradition, and the good of the country.

To the tune of about $21 million embezzled.
