What are we refering to, here?

What a lot of people are commenting on is why Trump released the transcript, rather then just cliam Executive Priviliage and stonewall it until the accusations were old news.
Main theory;It was another one of Trump's "decisione made with his gut" and he probably did not have anybody to tell him it would be a bad idea since he has surrounded himself with Yes men and sycophants.

That very fact might be his undoing. It's the undoing of a lot of autocratic idiots.

There's also the fact that a lot of pathological liars have convinced themselves that everyone believes their lies, even when people are telling them to their face that they aren't buying it. Trump probably thinks he's put one over on us all by releasing this summary, ignoring all the people who are pointing out all the problems with it.

The whole point of the process is to prevent retaliation through keeping their identity a secret.

Whoever told Trump needs to be fired, in the interest of National Security.
