Wouldn't that be a hole in a half? Another Trump Triumph! Discovering golf scores no one else ever heard of! Can this man, nay, god, do no wrong?

Okay, this is just pathetic:

The President of the United States altered a National Hurricane Center map with a sharpie to falsely extend the official forecast toward Alabama so he didn't have to admit he was wrong in a tweet.
Did you know Trump may have actually broken the law by doing that?

From: https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-may-have-broken-law-by-altering-hurricane-dorian-map-2019-9
The National Hurricane Center did not include Alabama in its forecast, and some observers pointed out on Wednesday that Trump's altered map may have violated federal law, 18 US Code § 2074.
...
"Whoever knowingly issues or publishes any counterfeit weather forecast or warning of weather conditions falsely representing such forecast or warning to have been issued or published by the Weather Bureau, United States Signal Service, or other branch of the Government service, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ninety days, or both"

Lock Him Up! Lock Him Up!

How funny would it be if he got impeached for doctoring weather reports!

Furthermore, Near as I can tell from the eye’s location, that is a map of potential movement from Friday? Even if the plot were accurate, it would be at least 33 hours out of date because he made the announcement Sunday morning.

Even worse: The date on the map is Thursday, 11AM.

A bit more news on Trump's wall:

https://www.vox.com/2019/9/4/20848968/trump-border-wall-mexico-military
Pentagon officials on Tuesday said that the Defense Department will take out $3.6 billion from 127 existing military construction projects and reallocate those funds to put up about 175 miles of wall. Half the money will come from projects originally meant for the US and its territories, and the other half from international ones.
Some more details about what projects will have funding deallocated...

In the United States:

- Military infrastructure in Puerto Rico (largely as a result of Hurricane Maria damage)
- Hill Airforce Base (Utah) Composite Aircraft Antenna Calibration Facility
- Utah Test and Training Range Consolidated Mission Control Center.
- Cyber Operations Facility (Virginia)
- Navy Ships Maintenance Facility (Virginia)
- 2 Hazardous waste materials warehouse replacements (Virginia)
- Engineering Center at West Point (New York)
- Ground Transport Equipment building at Ft. Huachuca (Utah)
- Space control facility (Colorado)
- Schools for families of military members (KY and other locations)
- Daycare facilities for military families (Maryland)

Overseas:

- Airfield upgrades
- Staging area upgrades
- Schools for families of military members (Germany/Japan)

OMG you guys... these sharpie memes are cracking me up. Looks like the world has a great sense of humour afterall.

I'll never be able to look at a sharpie marker with a straight face ever again.

What did he declassify?

In that case, it's not about "did," so much as "should." Remember the claims of Obama spying on Trump without any evidence presented?

Does snapping a picture of it on his phone and tweeting it out really declassify it?

The President is apparently above the law when it comes to such things, on the legal front. Abuse of authority, though, can supposedly be addressed by Congress.

Really, Lou?
You cannot fathom why the number of people who disapprove of President Trump is much greater than the number of Democrats?
You cannot understand why we are upset with the president’s buffoonish and selfish ways?
You cannot grasp that we are bothered that a significant number of his tweets are divorced from reality (or at least on a trial separation)?

As I said - They KNOW they're lying. It's so far past the point of reasonable doubt that it not even worth refuting them.

'The NRA is a domestic terror organization,' says San Francisco leadership in unanimous vote

Hmm. I may consider such to be a little over the top, but... there are some fair points made in the condemnation. Such as...

WHEREAS, The National Rifle Association musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence, and

WHEREAS, The National Rifle Association spreads propaganda that misinforms and aims to deceive the public about the dangers of gun violence, and

WHEREAS, The leadership of National Rifle Association promotes extremist positions, in defiance of the views of a majority of its membership and the public, and undermine the general welfare, and

WHEREAS, The National Rifle Association through its advocacy has armed those individuals who would and have committed acts of terrorism; and

WHEREAS, All countries have violent and hateful people, but only in America do we give them ready access to assault weapons and large-capacity magazines thanks, in large part, to the National Rifle Association’s influence;

Ouch.

We're up to 16 retirements among the House GOP, now.

May the pace continue or increase.

School staffer who threatened kid with ICE is out of a job, but officials refuse to release details

A Texas school district spokesperson said that a staffer who threatened a U.S.-born Latino child with deportation for not calling him “sir” is now out of a job, but is refusing to reveal any details around the investigation. That includes the investigation findings itself, whether the employee was fired or resigned, or even what the now-former staffer’s name is.

Last month, the Barack and Michelle Obama Ninth Grade Center student had been punished with in-school suspension for not wearing a belt when the staffer had a fit over the 14-year-old boy not addressing him as “sir.” It was at that point that he pulled out a coin emblazoned with “Office of Intelligence” and “ICE”—there’s no information as to why he was carrying this onto school grounds in the first place—and threatened that “even though you are a citizen, Trump is working on a law where he can deport you, too, because of your mom's status.”

The boy is a U.S. citizen, and his mom is here legally, Dallas News reported, though it needs to be repeated that it doesn’t matter anyway, because all children here, regardless of legal status, are entitled to a public school education. But the school district is refusing to give any of the investigation details to the public, even though “the names of government employees as well as information related to a completed investigation are typically public information under state law.”

Trump, bringing out the worst in people.

Trump Administration Reverses Standards For Energy-Efficient Lightbulbs

The new standards were included in energy legislation implemented under President George W. Bush and finalized under the Obama administration.

A second wave of lightbulb changes was set to happen. But now the Trump administration wants to undo an Obama-era regulation designed to make a wide array of specialty lightbulbs more energy-efficient."

And I'm sure this isn't meant to be a petty, "we're going to undo everything Obama did just because we can" move, right?

The mark on weather chart looks to be about the same size as the one he uses to sign his official documents.

That reminds me of a song...
"Go-kart Mozart was checking out the weather chart to see if it was safe outside. "

Trump Administration Reverses Standards For Energy-Efficient Lightbulbs

And I'm sure this isn't meant to be a petty, "we're going to undo everything Obama did just because we can" move, right?

I was actually debating including that one. Incidentally -

Not having the energy-efficient bulbs, consumer groups say, could cost the average household an additional $100 a year and, of course, take a larger toll on the environment. "The Energy Department flat out got it wrong today. Instead of moving us forward, this rule will keep more energy-wasting bulbs on store shelves," Jason Hartke, president of the Alliance to Save Energy, said in a statement. "If you wanted folks to pay a lot more than they should on electric bills, this rollback would be a pretty good way of doing it." The Appliance Standards Awareness Project says that this will increase electrical usage in the U.S. by "80 billion kilowatt hours over the course of a year, roughly the amount of electricity needed to power all households in Pennsylvania and New Jersey."

Noah Horowitz, director of the Center for Energy Efficiency Standards at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) said that this action "sets the United States up to become the world's dumping ground for the inefficient incandescent and halogen bulbs being phased out around the world. Given the worsening climate crisis, this is no time to significantly increase pollution and consumer energy bills just so a few lighting companies can make more money selling inefficient bulbs." The NRDC is threatening legal action, because federal laws actually prohibit backing down efficiency standards that cause "decreases [in] the minimum required energy efficiency."

The Trump Administration once again flaunting the law and harming the public good in favor of... what exactly?

Didn't Trump just announce the startup of Space Force!!!1!!? But he is stealing money from it right out of the blocks. So what is next? No more sticks for the bottle-rockets?
