Flynn's lawyer asks to delay the sentencing.

Good lord I hope it is until after the Judge gets his god damn meds checked.

SCO's Van Grack: "With respect to treason, the government has no reason to believe that the defendant committed treason"

What the hell is going on over there? Is the judge intentionally ******* with the General and his family?

This is the craziest ******* thing I have ever heard.

Judge Sullivan is back on the bench, says he misspoke in suggesting Flynn was a foreign agent while in the White House. And also says he never meant to suggest that Flynn committed treason. He says not to read too much into the questions he asks

:eye-poppi

Sullivan: I wasn't suggesting he had committed treason. I was just curious.

Jesus Christ.

Are all federal district court judges insane??

Translation: The chickens are coming home to roost - things aren't going the way you hoped aye? Tsh Tsh! You were hanging your hopes on the 302? Oh dear, that looks like a mistake now, doesn't it?

What Judge Sullivan is saying is nowhere near as bat-crap crazy as some of the BS you have been spouting on this issue.

Are you just quoting Trump or are you agreeing or adding your own nonsense to the post?

Could people please clarify which are words they are quoting and which are not and what they do or don't think are valid things to say or not?

I think it's clear:

Everything beyond "Trump Tweets" are tweets by Trump (or to be more accurately, tweets from his twitter account - given that some have vaguely competent grammar.

so in this case

Biggest outrage yet in the long, winding and highly conflicted Mueller Witch Hunt is the fact that 19,000 demanded Text messages between Peter Strzok and his FBI lover, Lisa Page, were purposely & illegally deleted. Would have explained whole Hoax, which is now under protest!

Good luck today in court to General Michael Flynn. Will be interesting to see what he has to say, despite tremendous pressure being put on him, about Russian Collusion in our great and, obviously, highly successful political campaign. There was no Collusion!

Russia Dossier reporter now doubts dopey Christopher Steele’s claims! “When you get into the details of the Steele Dossier, the specific allegations, we have not seen the evidence to support them. There’s good grounds to think that some of the more sensational allegations.....

...WILL NEVER BE PROVEN AND ARE LIKELY FALSE.” Thank you to Michael Isikoff, Yahoo, for honesty. What this means is that the FISA WARRANTS and the whole Russian Witch Hunt is a Fraud and a Hoax which should be ended immediately. Also, it was paid for by Crooked Hillary & DNC!

Michael Isikoff was the first to report Dossier allegations and now seriously doubts the Dossier claims. The whole Russian Collusion thing was a HOAX, but who is going to restore the good name of so many people whose reputations have been destroyed?

Are all tweets.

I like that format, because it makes it easier to quote it.

If she didn't start the story as far back into the less than relevant chapters as she does, I would completely agree.

Yeah, she has a tendency to be a bit of a historian. But where she eventually gets is excellent, even if that drawn-out intro is the price to pay.

I like how, despite being warned days ago by someone you like to cite as an authority on such matters, that the request for the 302s meant that the judge was angry with Flynn's team, you're still utterly blindsided that the judge was angry with Flynn's team. He's acting exactly as predicted by people with expertise in this area. That you managed to convince yourself of a fantasy that Mueller was going to be found in contempt of court isn't a failing of the judge, nor is it a failure of those who said differently. It means that you're not actually the crack-shot lawyer you think you are.

:bigclap

After the Judge completely lost his **** today, I gotta think that Trump is going to look long and hard at a pardon.

Did he commit... TREASON?? whomp whomp
<break>
Oh I did not mean to suggest that he committed treason, I was just, ya know, curious and stuff.

My, what a curious about-face a few days bring:
Perhaps the more "skeptical" of our correspondents are curious why Judge Sullivan would sua sponte order this information disclosed to him? Well, you see folks, he has long experience with exposing miscarriages of justice.

Your "legal beagle", ladies and gentleman.

Canine law <---> Pigeon chess

But also spent several minutes giving him an option to back out of the plea because he was concerned about the questioning.

Weird day

He's kind of supposed to do that. The idea behind it is to give the defendant every opportunity to his right to defend himself in court. The little stunt his lawyers foisted on the court the other day suggesting/hinting that Flynn was somehow tricked into all this is a demonstration of hesitancy of actually admitting guilt. And the judge could have none of that if he was to impose a sentence.

Today was a disaster for Flynn. And his lawyers brought it upon him. That stunt pissed off Mueller and I can't help but believe that led to the indictments against Flynn's associates the day before his sentencing. Mueller made a deal with Flynn that he would recommend no prison time and he stood by that promise. But indicting Flynn's associates the day before was Mueller sabotaging that agreement with Flynn without rescinding the deal. It also was a shot across Flynn's bow to not play games.

Sullivan: I wasn't suggesting he had committed treason. I was just curious.

Jesus Christ.

Are all federal district court judges insane??

Yesterday you thought this dude was great. What happened?

I think that most federal district court judges are not insane. On the other hand there are some people who fancy themselves to be experts on the law.......

Telling that I am being questioned for absorbing and analyzing new information by "skeptics."

Judge Sullivan let America down today.

I hope you aren't implying that's the only reason some of us prefer the transcript to the tediousness of waiting for the video to get to the point.

There's your answer

I don't find it tedious.

For mine, watching and listening to Maddow is like watching a sports event. Some people like to just watch the scoring highlights in the football, or the last 10 seconds of the Olympic 5000 metre Final.

I like to watch the whole game because there are fascinating things going on that show the nuances and particulars of the way game unfolds that you never see in the highlights.

I like to watch the whole 5000 metres final because I enjoy seeing the jostling for position and the tactical running that you wont see in the last 10 seconds.

I guess patience is something that only my generation and before seem to have. Everyone seems to wants their news in ten second sound bytes these days. I hate that; I want in-depth analysis, with detail and thoroughness. FFS, I see now that many websites even warn readers how long articles will take to read! I find that very sad!

One of the key reasons why America finds itself in the pickle it is in now is because voters spend not enough time looking for the news behind the news; the full story. They make their minds up on highlights packages and sound bytes.

I am asserting that the reaction of the judge to the submitted documents will determine if the submittal meets his requirements. I am also asserting that that is the only thing that matters regarding this submittal. My opinion, and yours, have no relevance.

Mine is not an opinion, it is a fact that 1. The order required the filing of all 302s relating to the Flynn interview. 2. The government did not produce the 302 of the Flynn interview.

Those are facts.

I will now assert that yours was an opinion, and will further assert that your opinion was wrong. Mueller provided the judge with exactly the information that he requested.

I'm shocked to learn that saying "I'm pleading guilty, but not really because the FBI is full of immoral tricksters" does not do well to earn him leniency in front of a federal judge. Shocked!

The rule of so's cousin;

the Rule of Yeah

Equally as dumb and completely full of ******** as the "rule of so".

Say, can we make a new rule of "someone who acts like they have a degree in the law, refuses to admit when they are wrong, and is a shill for President Trump"? What would that rule be called?

Yeah but I think Swoop could put links to the tweets as well.

Or we could just go to Twitter to see the tweets, and Swoop can post the really, really egregious ones.
