While we don't know exactly what it is that Trump did, Trump knows. And he knows that Mueller knows - if not everything than at least a good chunk of it. It's probably driving him toward a coronary (well, that and all the cheeseburgers).

Damn, based on the judge's history, I was hopeful that he would scrutinize the government's action more closely, instead it appears that his lifelong appointment has broken the judge.

If we could convert rationalization for why Trump isn't guilty and everything is going his way for realzies into actual usable energy we could solve the energy crisis overnight.

He didn't commit the crime of treason in the same way that the Rosenbergs didn't commit the crime of treason as defined in US law despite helping Stalin get the bomb.

It's perfectly reasonable to ask whether it is treasonous though.

The US definition of treason allows for quite a bit of mileage from our resident Trump apologists.

That's because anyone with a brain doesn't ******* care. The judge sees very clearly with the indictments of Flynn's associates that Flynn was being treasonous and he is rightfully angered by what Flynn did. But as a judge, he realizes that treason has a very specific definition and this isn't it. So he walked it back.

The judge was and is angered and rightfully so that someone with Flynn's background could do what he did. For me personally, Flynn should go to prison for a decade. If not for the time he put in serving this country he should do more than that. That you are so willing to defend this traitor is shameful.

But Flynn probably still won't have to do prison time so the pardon is unnecessary.
