Atheists destroy churches, attack the faithful

Golly, I was unaware that you had been assigned the role as spokesmen (particularly given that I smashed the same argument several weeks ago)
Whether I am an assigned spokesperson or not, I am allowed to post here.
Of course this has nothing to do with the argument - just ad hominem of course. (and I have yet to see you smash any argument - ever. lol - most of the time your "arguments" are just based on you own narrow and often willfully ignorant opinions that most of the time just informs me that your not a very happy dude)

I suggest that you take that up with the League of Militant Atheists, the Unyielding Marxist Atheists, other officially atheist nation-states, the innumerable anti-religion atheists on this web site, the numerous atheist organizations, and the guys setting up a big "A" in the Daley Center, I betcha a dime they would be surprised at being informed that they have no ideology.
You take it up, your the one with the beef. Please provide a link to the Atheist ideology - the rules and beliefs and traditions. I need to know it if I am going to follow atheism correctly. When a person says they are an atheist, all you can know about them is that they don't believe in a god. It doesn't tell you anything at all about their politics. They can believe in crystal healing and still be an atheist. You of course know this.

As has already been said by others, a political ideology can be atheist (or not). It says nothing about if that ideology is good or bad or if atheism is good or bad.

Oof, the show me the atheist rules and beliefs and traditions nonsense again.
yes, odd that hu. Perhaps you need to give it some thought - there maybe something to it.

I just looked a Pew research that showed the how the percentage of Atheist Republicans and Democrats were distributed between Conservative to Liberal (within the context of being a Republican or Democrat). I guess they must all be Commie Leninist Marxist Republicans hu.

Most Norwegians don't believe in a god. Most Norwegians are not Commie Leninist Marxists.

I also linked to the suggestions made by Human Rights Watch and other human rights watch dogs,

You have linked twice to HRW. One of those links led some some kind of Bible story, which, as you have said yourself, is nonsense. The other did actually lead to the HRW site.
Their suggestions? They write reports, hoping that someone will do something about it, and, in the meantime, please give them more money so they can keep doing this. No lobbying, no protests, no direct action of any kind.
How do you suggest this will change the Chinese government's mind?

By the way, have you stopped buying Chinese goods? This would seem to be a good way to express your discontent. Have you tried to organise a boycott of Chinese products throught whatever fringe church you belong to?

Disbanded in 1941. Are you suggesting a seance?

I agree!!!! To colaborate with independent NGOs is a good idea. First of all because they are not fanatically biased as the Ultra-conservative Supporters of Pederast Priests. For example HRW doesn't make case of atheism but of general violation of human rights in China or Guantánamo. Furthermore, it is useful to avoiding the single-minded thought that try to abuse these NGOs for its particular ends.

Why exactly is this nonsense? If you claim atheism is some kind of cult, one must expect you are aware of whatever structure that makes it a cult.

Grossly untrue on every level. Human Rights Watch are the ones that actually led the investigation that brought the human rights abuses to light and have led the charge with a panoply of suggestions.

Here is just one of the articles/suggestions/sanctions. https://www.hrw.org/report/2018/09/.../chinas-campaign-repression-against-xinjiangs

Not really surprised that atheists attack them with snark and lies, however.

Please quote anything from that report stating what HRW itself is doing to end these abuses, as opposed to doing exactly what I said they were doing.

What are you yourself doing? Did you miss that question?

fascinating, the list of the real bad guys keeps on growing, now it is human rights watch's turn in the barrel.

I have already explained what i am doing, i have explained what Human Rights watch has done. I humbly apologize for not being able to do more.

Other than cheerleading and snark, what are you doing to stop the human rights abuses in China? Because right now it seems that all the atheists are doing is defending their fellow travelers' human rights abuses.

Reminds me of the Communist Party in the US while Stalin and the League of Militant Atheists were executing Orthodox Clergy in the USSR.

Thank you for the admission that you cannot quote anything from the report you linked to to back up your claim. I accept your capitulation on this point.

I note as well that you have twice dodged my question about boycotting Chinese products. I assume, then, that this means you are not. Pitiful.

As for what I am doing, I have been publicising the plight of the Uighurs to everyone that will listen since I went to Xinjiang in 2002. I estimate that gives me a head start of at least 15 years on you. Feel free to thank me.

Your lame and blockheaded insistence that atheists on this forum are defending human rights abuses is...well. lame and blockheaded. Not to mention dishonest.
But you knew that.

The hilarious thing about this thread is that the Big Dog does not want to know that nobody here denies that human rights abuses exist in China on a large scale.
Can't or won't he? This is the only unknown thing of this thread. I believe both.

I don't know? I think homeopaths who make unsupported claims about the products they peddle should be thrown in jail so I don't see the problem with religious people being thrown in jail for making unsupported claims about the myths they are peddling to the people they are indoctrinating.

Only the most recent.

by the way, if you acknowledge that " that human rights abuses exist in China on a large scale" it really puts into perspective the specious attacks on the posters in this thread .

Oh yeah human rights abuses exist in China on a large scale, so lets bitterly complain about TBD. Thread in a nutshell.

Trump is set to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Buenos Aires on Saturday during the G-20 summit. Let's se what Trump has to say to XI about Chinese human rights abuses.

Come now, you and I and all of us know that the only topic of a tbd thread is tbd.

fascinating oh dear huh I me my mine myself. then hit recycle.

Not "refresh," of course. Christ, no such possibility.

How I miss Kumar.

Do I hear you say that because human rights abuses exist, in China and many other places, we should not talk about any other things?

Hans

Trump is set to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Buenos Aires on Saturday during the G-20 summit. Let's se what Trump has to say to XI about Chinese human rights abuses.

And as pointed out by our many colleagues, this issue impacts not just the US, but virtually all of the other members of the G-20. I think we would all love to hear how other nations are reacting.

I have already posted to legislation in the US Congress, what are other countries doing to pitch in?

interesting article regarding the opportunities and possible drawbacks ahead of the G20 summit:

Johnnie Moore, an evangelical adviser to the president who serves on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, told me that the Trump administration is one of the few governments in the world that can advocate successfully for human rights in China. “They are demonstrating that they are the only administration since China rose to its power that’s willing to stand up to certain things,” he said. That’s partly because of Trump’s willingness to punish Xi economically, as seen in his recent embrace of foreign aid to undercut Chinese geopolitical influence, and his threat to add more tariffs to China’s exports if talks at the G20 don’t yield a deal.

However:

Even as supporters of the Uighur cause welcome the renewed prominence of human-rights rhetoric in regards to China, they also fear that U.S. officials may be instrumentalizing it as part of a broader anti-Beijing offensive that has grown to include accusations of everything from cyber theft to election meddling.

Anyone else have any idea of what other members of the G20 are doing?
