I can't be arsed to find the links to recordings of where he's called people "mentally retarded" and "dumb southerners" before. I think they're in the NYT thread, or maybe the main Trump thread. Perhaps tomorrow, if anybody actually disbelieves that he's used those terms.
 
Trump's rating among Independents..considered to be the decisive demo in American politics since they are the "swing vote" has dropped six points in the last month.That is a big drop.

It's so sad how many people make statements like this without even knowing how these DNA tests work.

That's far from the only problem, but it's one that's directly relevant to this case, and which explains clearly why Warren taking a DNA test would be a waste of time, even apart from all the stupid political dick-swinging around it.

I agree. In no way do I intend it to be the last word on Moore. It's certainly not all the research I have personally done into his claims.

However, it does establish beyond doubt that he is not just deceitful, but deliberately so. I mean, just to take one example, Moore paints a picture that heavily implies that Charlton Heston blames gun violence on ethnic minorities. That he's a racist.

This is a man who fought for racial equality on the front lines, back when that could get you shot. This is a man who worked and marched with Martin Luther King. And Moore edits his words to try to make him look like a racist, because doing that supports the point he wants to make.

That's not a mistake. That's not compressing a narrative for brevity. That's straight-up dishonesty. And it's typical. It's not an anomaly, it's Moore's SOP.

I'm kind of in awe at people who do that, including on this forum. For a while I was collecting phrases useful for introducing complete irrelevancies into an argument. "Last time I checked," "I find it hard to believe" etc. I always feel shackled into making factual statements because I hate being wrong so much. If you don't mind being wrong, actually embrace it, you can get away with saying so much more!

Last time I flew I bought a bottle of vodka duty free and I had my lighter, so I'm on the plane with a lighter and a bottle of fuel. I was curious if these could be combined into something harmful but did not research it.

Not that I mind (or doubt) the results, but it does seem strange that after 2 years of almost constant scandals (previous tell-all books, children being locked in cages, etc.) that Trump's popularity drops NOW, even with the economy doing well (in spite of Trump rather than because of him.)

There can be a kind of tipping point. A snowball effect. I think having an actual remedy at hand that they can personally employ may be making people more thoughtful. I'm also not sure if the economic benefit is being felt that much by individuals. And Trump lies about the economy, and a 50 percent increase in the stock market (The Dow? What exactly is he talking about?) doesn't sound like a boom, it sounds like a bubble.

I think the two once high ranking Trump officials being found/pled guilty to criminal charges was the straw that broke a lot of the indepdents back when it came to Trumpy,and his behavior since just made things worse.

Before Manafort/Cohen corruption charges involving the Trump administration were just charges, but the verdict and confession made them facts.

We don't know that any backs have been broken. Polling itself appears to be broken (judging by the 2016 presidential race). There is only one poll now that matters.

This, Not to mention Moore's whitewashing of Castro's authoritarian regime in
his film on health care, or his implying that the parents of one of the Columbine shooters working for a company that has Defense contracts somehow had something to do with the shootings,and that is just scratching the surface. He's a cheap shot artist, frankly. When Moore accuses Fox News of lying I have to laugh.Not that Fox news does not lie 24/7 but Moore needs to remember that old saying about people who live in Glass Houses.
