So, a normal weekend?

He really does seem to ramp it up when something goes horribly wrong for him, like him freaking out on Sessions for not obstructing justice when Mueller got his latest convictions. The crazy is always there, but sometimes he goes into total meltdowns.

I would truly love to be a fly on the wall inside the WH. It must be fascinating.

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this, but I'll just post this here as an example of just how craven this administration is:

Not surprising. Libertarian and Republican wingnuts subscribe to a utopian freedom gospel -- essentially, extended infancy -- and not to political freedom based on equality in democracy (ugh!). This is revealed in the fact that they must use mere political declarations and straight-out affirmations of opinion as fact, never arguing from solid first principles, a concept unknown to them or their dimwit heroine, Ayn Rand. Indeed, they are clueless enough to think the trifling differences among human groups or across individuals have anything to do with political rights under democracy. In a word, pathetic.

Today's GOP believe rich white males (and wannabes) should be entirely free to do anything and everything they could possible dream up, without limit and regardless of consequence, solely to please their insatiable appetites, while absolutely no one else can or should act to defend themselves from the white man's onslaught. This is what, at core, "conservative" males voting in US elections believe, together with the myth that hordes of brown people are coming to take their fairly stolen spoils all away. Intellectually dim, ethically vacant, and smacking of profound, tongue-lolling panic.

It's easy for demagogues to put the run on scaredy cats, as 20thc history would have taught them, had they the skills and fortitude to read. More than one somebody didn't get the spanking they sorely needed when a child.

I actually think it's overly authoritarian parenting that churns these people out. In the countries where spanking is banned, they don't seem to have this particular problem with half the body politic.

Other than that, yeah. Also, here's a suggestion for Trump's 2020 campaign slogan. https://twitter.com/mtaibbi/status/1045785052758650887 His base would eat it up, too.
