Trump has some more legal problems...

From: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2...mp-to-stop-playing-aerosmith-music-at-rallies
Steven Tyler, the lead singer of Aerosmith, has ordered Donald Trump to stop playing Aerosmith songs at his political rallies... In a cease-and-desist letter, Tyler’s lawyers argued: “Mr Trump is creating the false impression that our client has given his consent for the use of his music, and even that he endorses the presidency of Mr Trump.”

Perhaps if none of Trump's other crimes cause him to be kicked out of office, Aerosmithgate might do it.

Looks like Trump is stuck with "Wango Tango".

Presumably Aerosmith plays well with his demographic, so it might have a slight effect.

I'm trying to think what questions would get me out.

Ha! I was in the final pool for a murder trial. The defense asked if I had ever been the victim of a violent crime. I replied, "Man, I live in (my city), what do you think?". It got laughs, even from the defendant. I was chastized, then released from the pool. :D:D

And a Wang Dang to you sir. [emoji14]

"Uncle Ted" is an absolute treasure trove for Trump appropriate tunes. His blue collar rally folk are surely fans. The Wall Street crowd? Probably not so much.

I should put Double Live Gonzo back in rotation (good in small doses). :D

After finding out the jurors had not been sequestered, I thought of this as well.

Well, it was suggested that Trump commenting about the trial with the jury unsequestered could constitute jury tampering.

Coincidentally another parallel with Watergate as Nixon almost caused a mistrial with a careless remark about Charles Manson during his (Manson's) trial. Of course, Nixon wasn't praising Manson and trying to discredit the prosecution...

Trump to Manafort, "Stay strong and don't snitch."

President Trump sought his lawyers’ advice several weeks ago on the possibility of pardoning Manafort, Trump attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani said Thursday. The subject of the pardon came up while Manafort was on trial on multiple charges of bank fraud and tax evasion, and the president was expressing his anger at how federal prosecutors had “beat up” and mistreated the former Trump campaign chairman, Giuliani said. The president’s lawyers counseled him against the idea, suggesting he should wait until special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation was concluded, and Trump agreed.

What a coincidence this story is leaking now.

I rather think Barron is probably safe too.

Unless they want to lock him up in one of the "totally not a cage" centers they were using for illegal immigrants. You know, just until they can process his parents.

Barron’s safe because Trump doesn’t know he even exists.

A American President is now trying to interfere with the judicial process.
THe Hell with Donald Trump.
The Hell with the GOP who so blindly back him.
Both have to go.
Even Nixon never went this far.

O/T

One suggestion for Bob: invite one of the parties to the case into the jury room before the trial starts, for donuts.
All of the Jury could end up being dismissed and the case settled. Worked for me (although in my case they just hung out in there uninvited).
Seriously? Where were the bailiffs? I'm 2 for 2 on jury duty, both multi-day trials, and the bailiff on duty always watched the jury-room like a hawk.

Trump Tweets

"I have authorized an emergency disaster declaration to provide Hawaii the necessary support ahead of #HurricaneLane. Our teams are closely coordinating with the state and local authorities. You are in our thoughts!"

They haven't finished in PR yet.

Blue states in territory have a low priority in Trump's Amereica.

If Trump shot Michael Cohen in broad daylight, here's what Republicans would say

House speaker Paul Ryan:

“If these reports are true – I emphasize IF – then yes, I’m very concerned. I don’t think the president should be killing people in broad daylight in front of Tiffany’s. But I’m not a legal expert, I could be wrong.”

etc

Trump Likely to Replace Jeff Sessions 'Sooner Rather Than Later'

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Thursday he believes President Trump will name a new attorney general "sooner rather than later" in his first term.

Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, Graham said Trump is "entitled to an attorney general he has faith in."

"The idea of having a new attorney general in the first term of President Trump's administration, I think is very likely," said Graham.

The new attorney generals top priority: "Lock her up!"
