Michael Shermer vs. "alternative history" Hancock and Crandall

So far, the only thing I'd claim is the people or civilization that came before us, were planters and cultivators in all the possible locations along their routes...

Identify the species or trees and match them to the locations. As all the trees are native, that immediately destroys your claim.

I thought when Charles Manson died, the craziest of us was gone from the face of the planet. Hell, old Charlie had a great quote:

"You know, a long time ago, being crazy meant something. Nowadays, everybody's crazy."

Speak the truth, Chucky. You could see this thread from the past and prison.

Given the thread drift, opening a consolidated “things KOTA is incredulous about” thread might be a good idea.

*I am not saying these are 12,000 years old.
In this thread you explicitly connect Göbekli Tepe (~10,000 BCE and abandoned 10,000 years ago) to Easter Island then modern Chilean tree plantations then modern tree plantations in the Cook Islands, etc. Thus:
21 November 2017: A delusion that another modern forest in the Cook Islands is connected to Easter Island because of "lines" across the sea floor in Google Earth.
and
22 November 2017: Repeats the delusion of a young, isolated culture (Cook Islands) being evidence of a globally connected civilization 12,000 years ago.

A lie about having no clue about the age of plantations

I have no clue...
22 November 2017: A lie about having no clue about the age of plantations - he has been given many sources on the planting of the Chilean trees starting in the 1960s.
What makes this a lie is that he has quoted from a 1991 paper about the Chilean tree planting!
"In this zone 20,483 ha have been planted..." is a reply to a Captain_Swoop post
I replied Quote mining an uncited quote is considered to be close to a lie where I give the full abstract that KOTA had read.
And later Tolls wrote:
One last lot of links, to the main source of info on this whole forest planting thing.
This contains a whole load of analysis of the plantations.

Here's one page that should prove of interest as it has photos of pretty much the same sort of squares KotA is talking about. A couple of the pictures in question are titled "Aerial views of the forest planted by the Corporación de Fomento on the Refresco property. Tamarugal Pampa".

And seriously "Where did they get all these trees???"? You are really, truly, actually, asking that question?

Well, you could have a look at this bit of the report. The bit talking about these wonderful, magical things called seeds.

Yeah...?

This guy I knew once said some people are just ignorant jerks.

If the shoe fits pal.

Let me guess: Proof of Atlantis, Lemuria, and Nibiru.

Nope...proof that they were not financially capable of planting millions of trees in three forests in the desert.

A quarter of the population had no home, and they required outside help to meet basic food and water needs.

Planting a forest in a straight line. Needs - seeds, string. And countless billions of dollars.

Establishing a forest made up of hundreds of symmetrical blocks each 21,000+ plants 45 feet apart, totaling in the millions...requires more than seeds and string.

IOW, three quarters of the population had homes, and required no outside help to meet basic food and water needs.

Do you know that you're not very good at this internet discussion thing?
