If you are suggesting that, by missing several dozen pages in this thread, you fell behind, no worries! You can read any one page and it will be as if you read them all. Something about quantum mechanics or chaos theory. Or Saggy's just repetitive.

Wait! I was under the impression that Hitler blamed a whole raft of things on the Jews; chiefly, the loss of WW1 and the subsequent economic woes of the Weimar Republic as well as his own personal failures.

I had also read that anti-Semitism was rife in Vienna when Hitler was living there, where at that time he apparently had visions of becoming a great artist, but he turned out to be a talentless hack and pretty much sucked at anything involving paint and canvas. Supposedly, he blamed the Jews for this failure as well.
 
Hitler's CO in WWI was Jewish, he recommended young Adolf for a medal. My understanding is that Hitler liked his CO, but when he was around the other enlisted men he would spout off antisemitic nonsense.

Antisemitism is not a hallmark of intellectual consistency.:thumbsup:

Meanwhile, denialism claims six million lived on, were liberated and went settle somewhere other than their original homes, all without leaving a trace.

Maybe you shouldn't get all your opinions from people who are so insistently supportive of the hoax theory. Seems like you get everything from other hoax deniers. Not surprising, really, as you don't seem to have read anything from the opposing camp (no pun intended).

Not one of them claiming any compensation (as they saw others who got to be a survivor get compensation).

Some people, if they want to bad enough, can daydream that Hitler was a swell guy that was forced into war by perfidious Albion and the evil wire pullers, International Jewry. Oh, he loved dogs. And children. And was an artist.

There was this little thing called the Great Purge. It's infamous for the Moscow Show Trials but that was just a small part of it. What you described at Vinnistra happened all over the USSR. NKVD Troikas roamed over the land with the power to sentence and execute with no chance of a fair trial or an appeal. These troikas targeted ethnic minorities, Poles, Jews, Ukrainians, etc.

My suggestion is to read Timothy Snyder's "Bloodlands" for an overview, Saggy. If books aren't your style:

Right-o, that makes sense - condemn every institution involved with Holocaust education and sundry individuals and everyone associated with Cornell in particular because a student organization at Cornell hosts a speaker you don't like. You're not real big on this free expression thing, are you? As to the student organization, sure, they could do better choosing speakers but they didn't and it is hardly the crime of the year - more like a small error likely made out of lack of knowledge whilst trying to do the right thing.
