It looks like Scaramucci might be gunning for the role.
He's too late on the scene. I'm betting on Manafort or Flynn.

In what way can recusing yourself from an investigation hurt the law? Even in a general hypothetical sense? And this recusel has hurt that allegiance to the law.

If there's a potential conflict of interest isn't recusing yourself what you're supposed to do? That's why there is such a thing as recusal in the first place.
WASHINGTON — President Trump publicly attacked Attorney General Jeff Sessions for a third consecutive day on Wednesday, questioning why Mr. Sessions has not fired the acting director of the F.B.I. over his wife’s political ties to Hillary Clinton.
Mr. Trump has previously criticized the deputy F.B.I. director, Andrew G. McCabe, who took over the agency when Mr. Trump fired James B. Comey, the previous director. He has remained in place while the president’s nominee to run the F.B.I., Christopher A. Wray, goes through the confirmation process.
By adding Mr. McCabe to a growing list of what the president views as Mr. Sessions’s management failures, Mr. Trump spurred more speculation on Wednesday that he was considering firing his attorney general, one of the earliest supporters in Washington of Mr. Trump’s bid for the White House.
Only one: to replace him with someone who'll fire Mueller. I'm guessing at some point last week Trump finally gave Sessions a direct order and got a direct response, and that was all she wrote.Trump really wants him to resign for one or more reasons

but the person who fires Mueller will make his own position untenable.
Basically, Trump wants Sessions to resign, hire a person who fires Mueller and then resigns himself.
Then he can hire someone "clean".
People are stupid but probably not that stupid.

Apparently I'm not nearly as funny as I thought I was![]()

There was the interesting point, who would want the job if Sessions is fired?
Guiliani, Christie, Sheriff Joe, or any number of Trump's New York cronies. Heck, the way they have kissed his *** since he insulted them in the primaries I'm sure Cruz, Rubio, Huckabee or Paul would be happy to take the position.
Could Trump appoint himself as Attorney General?
(remember Obama's "Hitleresque" address to school children, where he told them to work hard and be good citizens? Instead Obama should've bragged about his EC victory and whined about his political rivals).
Well Obama was evil, so of course his speech was vile, regardless of content.

Sorry, but there's a talent in logger that you are missing.Typical libtard claptrap. Obama is evil and was the worst president in the history of politics. He destroyed the economy and sold our freedoms to Russia with help from the pedophile Clinton family*
* I thought ya'll might be a bit lonely without logger's contributions, so I'm trying to fill in for him.
