The biggest straw man

And I'd never been out of work since I was 16 until then. Apparently you missed that I was on unemployment until it ran out. I have no safety net. You're welcome for jack ****.
And yeah, it was your choice.

Paleezz!
I've never been out of work since I was twelve!
Some us just get it done, at least you have the safety net, you're welcome!

Out of curiosity Logger. Are you familiar with John Rawls, The Veil of Ignorance and the Original Position?

So you're a socialist, fine. I want people to be free, I want to be free. Which means people have to take responsibility for themselves, oh the horror.

Freedom is what our country was founded on, you can do what you like in your country.

What exactly do you think that you are free to do in your country that I can't do in mine?

So the question would, how does Denmark have any poverty?

Because of the way it is measured. If everyone has very similar incomes then as long as the Cost of Living isn't insanely high, you'd have few to no people that were in poverty. When you have income inequality, and the minimum wage is below the cost of living, then you will always have someone that is in poverty merely because of the definition of what it is.

What is interesting is that compared to the US's 13% child poverty, Denmark's is under 3%.

Another thing to look at is the country's CPI. In Denmark it's just over 100. It's double that in the US meaning it's more expensive to live in the US than in Denmark. Less wage inequality and lower costs of living = way less poverty.
