Trump runs for POTUS/ Trumped Up! Part VI

Not a hope in hell. It will be a Hillary landslide.

Barring some Jihadist catastrophe, I don't see how Trump could win this one.

Which is fine by me. I dislike Hillary and I don't trust her to do anything to upset the statu quo, but Trump is a wildcard and his temperament makes him a dangerous choice for POTUS.

Waiting for you to demonstrate the hypocrisy.

Its on you if you want to demonstrate a different argument. From your responses you've yet to levy a compelling counterargument to anything i've posted already... youve only questioned me on issues i already addressed. Please read my prior response and then feel free to ask.

Along the lines of what could happen if Trump withdrew , the latest Opening Arguments podcast explains the options in some detail. None of which appear practical or give the alternate Republican choice any chance at all of winning.

Any candidate who says "If we have them, why can't we use them?" when discussing nuclear weapons should terrify anyone with a sense of self-preservation.
But I'm sure he was "joking", or being "sarcastic".

It's the ten years bit that puzzles me most. They couldn't have known back then that he would be running for President now. And didn't he already run once before? No tape then.

They're called "archives." Most shows archive their old footage. Why do you think we're able to watch footage of Johnny Carson and Ed Sullivan so many decades after they were filmed?

A thoughtful man (and I'm not pretending Trump is such) might ask questions despite thinking he knows the answer, just to get a different perspective and a fuller picture. Such a man might ask why we can't use nukes.

Now, this is admittedly pedantic nitpicking over your claim about "any candidate". Some candidates might ask that question and not scare me. Trump is not one of those candidates.

Either Trump is lying/exaggerating to impress young Billy, in which case there's not much to complain about - or - Trump is telling the truth and women really do throw themselves (or used to) at his fame and money, in which case there's nothing to complain about. Pick your poison.
It's revealing that you don't even leave open the possibility that Trump actually did the things he said he did.

It will be amazing if he spends the rest of the election fighting with Republicans.

Looks like George Will is feeling feisty...

Trump is a marvelously efficient acid bath, stripping away his supporters' surfaces, exposing their skeletal essences. Consider Mike Pence, a favorite of what Republicans devoutly praise as America's "faith community." Some of its representatives, their crucifixes glittering in the television lights, are still earnestly explaining the urgency of giving to Trump, who agreed that his daughter is "a piece of ass," the task of improving America's coarsened culture.

Because Pence looks relatively presidential when standing next to Trump — talk about defining adequacy down — some Republicans want Trump to slink away, allowing Pence to float to the top of the ticket and represent Republicanism resurrected. This idea ignores a pertinent point: Pence is standing next to Trump.

He salivated for the privilege of being Trump's poodle, and he expresses his canine devotion in rhetorical treacle about "this good man." What would a bad man look like to pastor Pence?

An Op-Ed in the China Daily calls Donald an "insolent populist", holding up this US election as an example of how dysfunctional democracy is as a system.
"They describe each other as villains, because they want to manipulate public opinion in order to win the presidential race."
"The election will continue to be the top entertainment in the U.S.,"
"The race to the bottom will continue to mislead people, as well as make them rethink the value of democracy."

Can anyone argue that US elections hasn't increasingly become theatre?

There is every indication that Trump does no self-reflection. He hears a snippet of information, forms an opinion based on the limited data he has, and never doubts that he could be wrong.

A quibble too far, imo. Asking why one cannot use nukes as a presidential candidate implies a lack of knowledge and common sense so profound that the ignorance and stupidity automatically disqualify.

Rinse, lather, repeat. He got away with "We won in all the polls" after the first debates for long enough to get his toadies like Hannity on board, so he tried it again after Sunday's debate, to a resounding chorus of "You on crack, bro?" responses. Not even his pet Pepe the Frog trolls are coming out to defend him. He'll probably give up tweeting because the whole world (which is bwahaha against you, you orange crud) is waiting for him to hit those buttons now.
