Merged Bigfoot follies

^^ Sadly, that is life out there on the cutting edge of Bigfoot Science. No end of wondrous events to behold, but, alas, no way to share the experiences. That's a very privileged life to be sure. I wonder how Footie decides who is worthy?

Imagine knowing that there are pygmy elephants in the state park near your house, and being unable to show anyone that they are there.

The Michigan J. Frog syndrome:

Michigan J. Frog is an animated cartoon character who debuted in the Looney Tunes cartoon One Froggy Evening (December 31, 1955), written by Michael Maltese and directed by Chuck Jones. In this cartoon, Michigan is a male frog who wears a top hat, carries a cane, sings pop music, ragtime, Tin Pan Alley hits, and other songs from the late 19th and early 20th century while dancing and performing acrobatics in the style of early 20th century vaudeville.

The running gag in the two-part series is that Michigan's undeniable talent is discovered by some hapless (and greedy) person who has visions of making a fortune by putting this great entertainer in front of an audience and profiting from it. He invests all his time, money, and eventually his sanity in that cause. He catches on too late that the frog will perform for him and him alone; in front of anyone else, Michigan is just a normal frog and thwarts the man's dreams of wealth

Good question. For someone who doesn't believe in the existence of the big guy, EVERY report or story is by a whackadoodle, but those of us that do know they exist are able to listen to some of these and just shake our collective heads. I know there are people out there trying to get attention by telling while stories and they did show them on that episode.

So, if I understand your answer, it is just based on what you think is reasonable for BF. It seems to me that the "average" line between what most BFers think is reasonable and what is not has moved more toward the "wackadoodle" side.

Do you see how asking us to believe that a BF carried a good-n-plenty around for hours just to toss it back at your buddy is unreasonable?

I believe it is much more plausible that an intelligent, curious creature picked something up off the ground and tossed it back into the camp than someone claiming to see over a hundred sasquatches morph out of the trees or one run across a road in a translucence state.

BS. They are equally as insane.

The claim of one sasquatch is exactly equivalent to a hundred, translucent or not.

The correct number of sasquatch is zero.

This is exactly what I was saying. To someone who doesn't know they exist and denies the possibility, ALL reports are equally implausible. My thermal sightings are just as goofy as 100 appearing out of trees.

Real animals aren't goofy. Goofy is claiming that you have seen a mythical animal.

Give me an explanation for what I saw and I will be more than happy to listen. So far, the best that has been offered up what two guys on each others shoulders, walking through the forest without a flashlight. Yeah, right.

Alternate explanations more plausible than "real bigfoot":

1) You've made the whole thing up.
2) You did see the thermal image in question, but were mistaken about its size and appearance. It was, in fact, a native wildlife species such as a bear or the hind end of a moose.
3) You did see the thermal image in question, but were mistaken about its size and appearance. It was, in fact, a human being accidentally captured.
4) You did see the thermal image in question, but were mistaken about its size and appearance. It was, in fact, one or more human beings intentionally pranking you.

Every one of these alternate explanations is vastly more likely than that you momentarily viewed a real "bigfoot" through your device. You've provided nothing to rule out any of these possibilities.

Reality really impinges on the LARPing.

The reality of no bigfoot makes sighting a bigfoot implausible.

It would be no different if you had claimed to have seen a mermaid in your local lake. Or, if you had claimed to have seen a unicorn, or perhaps a faerie flying through your back yard.

You may as well have said, you spotted a the pope flying a magic carpet down your street whilst servicing 72 virgins. That would've at least been funny. (and more plausible than a real live bigfoot in your local woods) A pope actually exists, and so do virgins. Bigfoot, not so much.

Why should we give bigfoot claims ANY credibility what-so-ever?
