So, what are you "liberals" hopes and aspirations for the rest of the Biden tenure? War with Iran? North Korea? Hmm?

It really does seem to me that liberals "identify" with Joe Biden and his idiot, reprobate son, as distinct from Donald Trump and his straight-laced offspring. They find Biden Jr's whoring and crack-smoking on the meal ticket from his sleazy, career politician VPOTUS dad is the life they wish they could have. Am I wrong?

He is even older than me and I am way too old to be President. Retire to your golf and Peloton lifestyle.

The very fact of Biden as POTUS is the hidden hand's giant middle-finger in our faces.

Unbelievable that this question is proposed in all seriousness. What is the matter with you?

Just look at Biden's success as a diplomat - aren't you liberals PROUD to have got him installed?

Cocaine in the Ukraine.

Yeh - Biden is an alpha ain't he? A man's man, a leader a nation can be proud of. Hoo-ah!!!

Just so you know, forum software lets you wait until you have a complete thought written down, and even reread it to check for clarity, before you hit the Submit button. This isn’t twitter.

I hope you had this energy back when war with Iran was very possible after the attacks against their military head and childish threats against NK, both under Trump's leadership.

But it's borderline trolling at this point for you isn't it.

What is Pete's difficulty with independents? I might have missed something.

Pete's appeal to moderates is how he won Iowa. Thinking a man married to another man could only win progressives is so 2008. If an inter-racial same sex couple can be pictured in a nursery room in a Benjamin Moore paint catalogue that's in a rack at Home Depot, a same sex couple can be president and first gentleman. Once you break the Home Depot paint department barrier, all things are possible.

What world have you been watching? Biden is about to vanquish one of our nation's foes for decades. Russia is about to not be our problem for a long time and he did it by building a coalition, arming Ukraine and not getting us into a war with a nuclear power. Trump worked Putin's ****** swallowed the ****** and tickled his *******. Biden made Putin his bitch.

Lying and ignorant and frothing at the mouth.
Your argument is that a country should simply follow whatever rapist frat-boy wannabe you consider to be an alpha?!
Actual humans recognize that “alpha” is interchangeable with “useless douche-canoe,” and anyone who supports one is a laughing stock that needs to be but to bed for a nap until the tiny brainless child calms the **** down.

I find it funny that the term "whoring" is used in a statement to distinguish someone from Donald Trump.

Back on topic the WAPO runs a column that suggests Biden announce now that he's not running in 2024:

First, and most important, the midterm elections this November would become about key issues and the quality of individual House and Senate candidates rather than the merits of Biden’s presidency and whether voters feel he should run again.

This is of course the only prayer Democrats look to have in November, is that voters will decouple their "Let's Go Brandon" attitude from their local candidates. And I have to admit, that decoupling seems more likely every day. Will Biden do it? Signs say no.

Minor update:

Gavin Newsom tells the White House he won't challenge Biden.

“I’ve told everyone in the White House, from the chief of staff to the first lady,” he recounted to me as we sat on the top floor of California’s now-ceremonial governor’s mansion on election night.

Kind of amusing that he hasn't told the big guy in person, and rather revealing that he mentions the big gal. I honestly take this as pretty much confirmation that Biden is not running; that's the whole point of putting out this piece of non-news, so Newsom can come off as a Biden loyalist picking up the torch.

It would be refreshing if he does run, instead of walking-corpse Biden. I can picture him against DeSantis, for all of the marbles.

Big-state governor versus big state governor? It seems logical but just for the heck of it, I thought I'd look it up. You can argue 1980 with Reagan against Carter, but of course Carter was no longer a governor but a sitting president. Kinda the same with the 1944 election; FDR versus Dewey was not just former NY gov versus sitting NY gov. I found a couple others with the same pattern going back to the 1800s--Wilson vs Hughes, 1916. and of course the crazy three way with Wilson (sitting NJ gov) versus Teddy Roosevelt (former NY Gov+ former US Pres) vs (non-governor but sitting Pres) Taft in 1912.

And then we have the Biden issue. Sitting presidents who have turned down possible reelection in the last 120 years: Johnson (1968), Coolidge (1928) and Teddy Roosevelt (1908). Interesting fact: these men also were among the few who inherited the office of the presidency.

I don't personally know anyone who really likes Biden, he was just the guy selected to beat Trump in 2020. He's fulfilled his mission far as I'm concerned. I think he's very likely to lose to a Republican now...not because he's that bad but because Republicans voters are that stupid.

We absolutely need new blood. Younger too please. I also hope the Dems take their time in announcing.
