There is a current commercial for one of the DNA test companies that has a guy saying how he was always told his heritage was German. But when he took the DNA test, he found out that it was actually largely Scottish.
OK, let's consider that situation.
1) Was he wrong he wrong to think he had German heritage before the DNA test? That's what he was told, so why shouldn't he think that?
2) Did the fact that he had a DNA test that showed him to be wrong change the answer to #1? All the DNA test result means is that, in the future, he won't be saying he has German heritage and will say it is Scottish.
This is the case with Warren. If she was told she had Native American heritage, why would she be wrong to believe it? And even IF she took a DNA test and it showed she didn't, it wouldn't change the fact that she was told she did, and therefore that's what she believed.
This DNA test is a red herring. It will do nothing. If it comes up negative, it just shows that she has been told wrong, just like the guy in the commercial.
OK, in that case, change your lederhosen to a kilt and move on. It means nothing else.
