Who's *planning* to attend TAM 7?

I am planning on getting in a few days early, renting a car, and seeing some of the sights I haven't done yet. Anyone up for a trip to Zion National Park?

I saw a bit of Zion on my first trip to LV many years ago. But it was winter, so not that much sightseeing. Would love to do it again if there is an opportunity to get out of the car and hike a bit. Keep me in mind, eh?

Didn't you hear? They moved it to Florida!
Well you said to start some unfounded rumors. :D

If $ is right I will be there...remains to be seen.
Too many wives and kids to fend for.

I can't help with the other two, but I will try to remember to get in touch with you about Zion when this gets closer.

Bring some sturdy shoes...

I’ll be making every effort to return for another TAM. I hope to bring my 18 year old son along for the ride this year. Last summer my wife and I went to Zion and I’d like to return and rent water boots and hike up the river. It was 114 up there two days before TAM last summer!

I 'spect I'll be there.

But right now, the money's the thing. May have to be my only Vegas trip in '09.

Much as I would love to see Phil and Scrut again... and I really really really would...

Mrs. Merc having had her job hours cut in half, and about 7 other reasons, say it ain't gonna be this year.

No Problem, it's TAM 2012 we'll have to worry about. History Channel had a Nostradamous special on it.

My TV barely survived that show...talk about credulous ninnies...

Considering the economy, makes me wonder how many people won't be able to make it to TAM due to expenses.

Damn.

Well, we certainly need to get together before another 40 years goes by.

Don't say no yet!

(you might be needed as a witness.)

FYI: Bryce and Zion are within about 60mi (100km) of one another, but their weather can be quite different. Zion is "low" (6000 ft) and Bryce is high (8000 ft). The translation for July is Zion = hot and Bryce = not as hot.

The water running through Zion makes it more likely to have a bit of humidity that I've never felt at Bryce. Both will be in peak visitation (don't count on a down economy to clear the parks).

In any event, both parks hold beauty and spectacles of amazement that should not be missed.

We're interested in Bryce/Zion after TAM. And yes, reservations should go in early as it is peak tourist season. (no limit on the number of tourists you bag)

Ditto

I'm planning to go, though it's somewhat up in the air, because I got engaged and am planning (and paying for) a wedding this year. Though it might be neat to have a skeptical bachelor party in Vegas

I may even cash in some airline miles to make it. If I can find a roommate, then that would help with the costs even more.

We are planning to attend, but financial and health reasons may prevent us. We'll know more as it gets closer.

The first issue will not be an issue if I have anything to say. I can't really help with the second, that's up to Robert.
