If you -and the other Holocaust deniers- would spend less time "summarizing" there would be a lot fewer posts in these threads. In the interest of avoiding repetitious problems from the first part of this thread may I respectfully ask you only to summarize your own opinions and that you don't attempt to summarize what your opponents have written? They're quite articulate themselves. If you must summarize more than your own comments, I do hope you will refrain from slightly altering their points when you "paraphrase" their previous replies and the materials they referenced for you.
It would already be a vast improvement if you -plural- responded to what they actually write.
 
Perhaps people could at least pretend to try staying on topic?

Well, I cheated a bit, accidentally. I received several scolding email about underestimating the size of those sites. I guess I was feeling generous by only hitting him with 750,000 pages of documents rather than the actual figure.
 
Remember the tin rule of changing history. You need to know as little as possible about the history of the event and the context in which it occurred.

This makes it heaps easier to change it............

I once saw a list of The Most Important Battles in Human History. Most of them took place in and around the Balkans. I guess they included non-local battles to "be fair". :rolleyes:

Care to elaborate on your smear statement?

Why was the SU (your precious mass murdering buddy) mobilizing these enormous amounts of troops? 22 divisions and counting?

Why where the Russians demanding the Baltics, Rumania, Finland, Dardanelles?

I thought WW2 was about liberating Poland from evil Nazis?

Simple. Hitler needed an excuse to justify his war, so he made one up. He did that all the time, starting with that whole "the Jews are evil" thing you´re swallowing so enthusiastically.

Now, you explain to me why the words of the liar Hitler prove the words of the liar Suvorov.

One subject at a time please, lets forget about the Jews for a moment...

Hitler says that Molotov visited him in Berlin. While there, Molotov came up with new demands: he wanted permission from Berlin that the USSR could swallow Finland, Rumania, Dardanelles, etc. Do you denie that? Hitler refused.

Do you deny that Stalin was mobilizing and had 22 divisions at the German-Russian frontier and the Germans only 3?

I am saying that Suvorow confirms what Hitler says. Suvorow, who was a Soviet spy who defected to the West, confirmed that the USSR was indeed preparing for an assault on Western Europe. Germany was forced to carry out a pre-emptive attack. Hitler basically says the same thing. His only chance was a surprise attack.

When was this? Considering the Germans attacked with well over 100 divisions, it certainly wasn't at the outbreak of war between Germany and USSR.
 
Hitler was of course a pathological liar when it came to political matters; so I don't take the speech seriously.

The flood of data from the former Soviet Union as revealed many things. First Stalin's purges and assorted other brutalities had throughly screwed up the Soviet Military. Secondly the Soviets were well aware of German preparations to attack them and very anxious to avoid giving the Germans any excuse to attack them. It also appears that Stalin didn't think any attack would come before 1942.

The data revealed illustrates the bad indeed shocking state of the Soviet Armed forces in 1941. The idea that the Soviets were planning an all out attack for the summer of 1941 is absurd. THe Soviet plans were defensive in nature. THe fact that the German's initial attack was almost stunningly successfull is almost perfect proof that the Soviets were in no position to launch an attack in the summer of 1941.

As for the German side of things. Despite what Hitler said publically to justify his attack. The planning of the attack and other documents prepared before hand show. No fear of Russian attack and a strong belief by both Hitler and his generals that the overthrow of the Soviet Union would be easy and garner to Germany vast benefits. What cmes from the documents is vast contempt for the Russians and little to no fear of a prolonged war.
