Germans? They were residents of Bohemia who happened to speak German.
Of course, you have to remember that "Germany" was a made-up country created out of thin air on the design tables of Prussia in 1871.
Germans? They were residents of Bohemia who happened to speak German.
I believe you when you admit that you are a state sponsored killer. That was clear all along.
Well, somebody's got to do it.
This may have been true in ancient Egyptian or Assyrian times, when writing was rare and there was usually only one official account of historical events.
WWII is probably the most heavily documented event in history. Even before the internet, there were thousands of eyewitness accounts published; now, there are many more as anyone who participated in the conflict can record their memories for posterity.
In a sense, history is indeed determined by vote, because if there are a few anomalous accounts from crackpots among the many that are consistent with one another, it is reasonable to reject them as being erroneous.
Do my opponents understand what this means? That this Lebensraum accusation is an Anglo lie and nothing more.
I believe you when you admit that you are a state sponsored killer.
Yep, raking in the cash at $250/month. I did it for the lols.
Oh no. You would also have to swab decks.Wow, I could get $250 a month just for killing people?
Oh no. You would also have to swab decks.
Oh no. You would also have to swab decks.
See Netherlands/Belgium 1830.
Germans? They were residents of Bohemia who happened to speak German.
The cruel persecution of the "Sudetendeutsche" ( = German speaking citizens of non-German speaking Eastern European countries) is reported in letters by Bruno Haase, a Jewish bank manager and chairman of the German music club and choral society "The Friends of Song" (Ger. "Liederfreunde") in Znaim. (Cat. Nr. 1520) In 1938, the musical life of German speaking citizens in Znaim had become "meschugge", the so-called "Repression Officer" (Ger. "Stillhaltekommissar") refused permission for the German speaking music societies to give concerts. The societies' financial capital was confiscated and "all these societies were now facing the drawn sword." In Haase's opinion, Hitler meant redemption from such misery. No wonder therefore that even this Jewish citizen of Znaim signed his letters with an enthusiastic "Heil Hitler!".
Do you mean the Czech republic or Czechoslovakia? CS means the latter.
The Czechs never threw foreign government officials out of the window in your worldview, I guess.
The successor states to Austria-Hungary were carved out according to already existing borders - often existing for centuries. The current borders of the Czech republic go back to 986 at least.
Well, somebody's got to do it.
What, killing? That seems to be your attitude indeed. Spending more on weapons than the rest of the world combined. Wonder where you guys are up to. Ah, I know, removing Saddam from power and handing Iraq over to Iran to the tune of 3 trillion $. Keep up the good work, guys!
Having military bases all around the globe and still whining about that evil Hitler who merely wanted his city back.
That was neither your point, nor that of your Führer. You prove my point. Netherlands + Belgium was a monstrum created on the design table of Vienna. It fell apart after 15 years. CS same story.
In, of all places, a collection of musical letters. The treatment of the Sudenten-Germans wasn't stellar. So what? And were treated accordingly by their Czech rulers:
The one of 1618 certainly had to do with Austrian officials wanting to impose RC on a protestant population.I don't think that these 'defenestrations' had anything to do with foreign officials, it was religeous/local politics. But I don't really care about that subject now in this context.
They were in 1918. Who would have stopped them? Austria-Hungary was disintegrated before the end of the war.I never denied the existence of a Czech ethnicity, only that they were never very successful in gaining independence.
Oh, and about Hitler "merely wanting his city back"...
How could it be his city when he wasn't even a native of Germany?
The state of Brunswick granted him German nationality in 1932.
Yeah, I know...but by then the city in question was no longer part of Germany.
It never was German in the first place. After defeating Maria Theresa of Austria during the Silesian Wars, King Frederick II of Prussia annexed most of Silesia, although Oderberg remained in Austrian Silesia. The town successively became part of the Austrian Empire (1804) and Austria-Hungary (1867).
At least that's less dangerous than pruning trees.![]()
