What would your last words be?

I was watching one of the Discovery Channel's many programmes about disasters tonight - it concerned an aircraft in trouble and making an emergency landing.

What do you think would be your 'last words' if faced with imminent sudden death? I reckon I'd probably be praying even though I'm an atheist - all those years of prayer would probably kick back in under enormous stress.

I hope I never find out - not any of you!

I would really like to qoute The Doors...

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I’ll never look into your eyes...again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...stranger’s hand
In a...desperate land

But since I´ll probably would not have time, it would be just

"Oh, sh!t..."

"It was fun.........Oh My....."

errmm..sorry, those were Kirk's last words.

I plan on going like my friend, getting hit by a bus, so people are picking pieces of me out of their hair for a week. So they would probably be "Going to get lunch, be back in a few!"

"and so, with this experiment I will completely discredit homeopathy by drinking this 30x poison..."

Well, if it is the plane scenario that you describe, then I can think of nothing better than jumping up and saying, "I'm a magical pixie and if you all show your belief in me by clapping, I will save the plane." Sure, I'll die with the rest of them, but at least I'll have the sound of applause ringing in my ears.

Yes, I cut the power to the mains. Why must you always second guess me? Now hand me the wire cutters.

"I thought you said the flagon with the dragon had the brew that is true!?!?!?!"

Sorry, really old Danny Kay refrence.

I guess it would depend on the situation. For a plane crash, I think I would probably have something to say much different than a thug shooting me.

As a general rule, I think I will condition myself to repeat the final words of Henry Ward Beecher:

"Now comes the mystery."

If I were in a plane crash or something I'd ring up whoever I hated most and leave a message on his answering machine saying "From hell's heart I stab at thee... for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee..."

Just because everybody normally calls their family and leaves soppy "I love you" messages, so my way I'd be bound to get lots of media coverage as the one guy who was different.

I'm gonna go for "Be fair, none of the four told me that they WERE married..." :D

No! The flagon with the dragon has the potion with the poison. The chalice from the palace has the brew that is true. Kids today, they just don't listen. And now he's dead.
