Yes, a skeptic forum, where we don't just believe stuff 'cause someone comes in and posts some spam emails they've received as though they're evidence of something. Where we don't believe people just because they say they "have a feeling" somebody isn't trustworthy. Where we expect facts to back up assertions.

Actually with the contacts Obama has, I think he could really be key in the destruction of the USA and then the other powers that be could move in because we will have been made vulnerable, on purpose. I do suspect Obama has some very dark secrets and I just do not trust what's behind his smile. I see a phoney who does not mean one word of what he is promising those who vote for him. He wants power, what he'll do with it I'm not sure but I do fear for all of us Americans if we give it to him.

Sorry guys but I hope you will wake up and see what this guys true character is, he is not appearing to be a man of nobel character and I am very very concerned for the USA. If he wins, I think we lose and much more than we can even project!

It is difficult for me to take anything you've said seriously. It smacks of the kind of paranoid nonsense that 9/11 conspiracists spout. (You should stop and think about that. Your comments are reminding me of 9/11 conspiracists—do you really want to be thought of in that kind of company?)

The Republican party went off the deep end. I think it needs to transition. I don't think it's good for America to have a broken party and I think Republicans have lost their way for the time being and I think they need to ditch the right wing. It would be good if they lost a few elections and became the minority for awhile.

I dimly recall either saying this or saying "Me, too!" when someone else said it, but the Republican party needs to A) divest itself of the sort of morons who try to divide America into "Real" America and everyone else. That's a sure recipe to alienate voters or at best, dehumanize and ignore half the country if they do retain any influence. B) Tell the worst segments of the Evangelists to go *** themselves - publicly, and for the same reasons. I don't really think gay marriage and abortion scare mongering, which galvanize the worst Evangelicals, are going to be salient topics for the next few years, C) Vote Democrat.

Wait, maybe C is going too far. If they can just pretend to be level headed and fiscally responsible for a few years, maybe the GOP can recover and contribute to the country for a change. I'd love to see the GOP start to get into a "social program" and "balanced budget" battle against the Dems for a while. Let their road to power be working to make America better, rather working to make America poor, angry, and afraid, which seems to have been their plan for the past ten years.

Agreed. Issues which recently (2000 and 2004) galvinized conservative voters seem to be losing their potence. For example, Rove, et. al. were able to get gay marriage amendments on 11 state ballots in 2004 which really helped turn out Republican voters. I don't think that will happen again.

Abortion will always be an issue but I suspect that younger voters don't see it as a big deal. While their turnout is abysmal, in future elections it will increasingly become a moot issue.
