Things seem to be pretty well balanced in that regard right now. Especially after the fall of the USSR.Because of course Europe is known to be a place where no land was ever wrongfully appropriated.
Bastien moccasins are great. Founded circa 1830, the Canadian company is still run by native Americans (Huron-Wendat Nation).Progressives insist that the culture and values of the native peoples were pretty good, too, but it's really hard to find a hand-sewn pair of moccasins even here in Oklahoma. Presumably the "patriots" of which you speak are afraid that an influx of new peoples would do to their culture what their own culture did to earlier ones.
I'm not @Helen, but your question led me to look up the racial and ethnic composition of several places I have lived. (Partly because, let's face it, a lot of what passes for discussion of immigrants is driven by race and ethnicity. Indeed, the person I quoted immediately above went on to talk about English proficiency as though it were a proxy for immigration.)@Helen, do you live near any heavily immigrant neighborhoods?
No. Zenophobia is an irrational fear of infinite converging sequences.
Good for you and clear demonstration of what I'm trying to get. Lots of people like the food they've been eating for generations. If that wasn't true that diverse cuisine you find amazing wouldn't be available.I lived in Southall for a while, that's about as immigrant heavy as it gets. It was pretty cool actually, and loads of amazing food.
So you believe Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, are all Xenophobes for having such a tight immigration policy? Same with most of Africa and Latin America?i think it's xenophobia when you resist positive change
Increased ethnic diversity is not positive or negative. Its just change.are they resisting positive change?
Zenophobia is the fear that you will never get to your destination because you first have to get halfway there, and to get to half way you first have to get halfway to there, and so on.No. "Zenophobia" is an irrational fear of arrows and other missiles.

However, if you are Japan or South Korea or Taiwan or Israel, increased diversity apparently is a threat to their nation-state security.

Great thing when the immigrants resist change, xenophobia when the natives do.
i don't think i've ever had a native american dish
Fondue?!Heck, check out Australian cuisine some time. All sorts of stuff from different parts of the planet all gathered together into one glorious melting pot.
You know those bags of frozen vegetables with lima beans, corn, etc all mixed together? That's succotash. They just don't label it that to spare us from awful Sylvester impressions.i don't think i've ever had a native american dish

So, the change you like then.i think it's xenophobia when you resist positive change
