If 76 million people don't think that's an important enough issue to vote in accordance with, then explain why you think tweaking the messaging around something like inflation is going to make a difference?

I'm sure a "better" campaign was possible, but it's rather disheartening to watch the other side do almost everything wrong under any reasonable criteria and still win. At that point a defeatist attitude makes sense.

There's the salience thing of course. Inflation was an is very salient to most people, well unless you are rich. Vaccines, not so much. Almost nobody has died of the measles in living memory in the US thanks to vaccines, but everyone has felt inflation.

I know, folks have died of covid, a lot of folks but, we were basically lied to about the efficacy of those vaccines so, not all that much of a winning issue. Especially when it was dems that kept poor kids and kids of color out of school.

see, look how salty you get. seeing more nazis then there actually are, which is still more fairly an uncomfortable amount of nazis or that trump is a terrible choice for president but you think probably not quite as terrible as they say is so offensive to you in a way that i don't understand or even care to.

Seems weird and dangerous not to utilize reason to tell you what to value, but you do you.
