Watching the debate tonight?

Two possibilities:
1. he knows how soundly he was beaten last time, and/or
2. he's still sick

  • He genuinely thinks he won the debate and will do so again if similar rules are applied but not if he's denied the cut and thrust of face to face debate and if Joe Biden is allowed and earpiece and a teleprompter.

Bah, that's not the only two possibilities. More likely it's "he thought he won last time, and the key is that he was a belligerent blowhole, and he knows he can't win if he can't do that"

It's consistent with he behavior and his comments

Trump's belligerence in the last debate didn't gain him any points, so Trump will have been told over and over not to do that again ... which is precisely why he will do it again.

My guess is Trump will cancel the debate when it becomes clear that he would be doing a lot of coughing.

I think it's more like he can't control the conversation if he's only on Zoom and not in person. People can just turn his feed off. That's what he doesn't want.

You can rule #1 out. Trump would never believe such blasphemy.

Given his weird Tweets, I'm going with:

1.) he's still sick but is making up rationalizations so he doesn't have to face the fact he's still sick
2.) all of the above but the simple explanation still holds, he wants an in-person debate because he believes he can brow-beat Biden.

My understanding is that Biden will do a town hall type event. 90 minutes of free air time in prime time, Thanks, Donnie.

If only the moderator will be not so polite, and just keep reciting the rule of time if the person goes over. Make the moderator's mike louder.

Instead of Biden, why not have Joe Jorgensen and Howie Hawkins for the last
two debates. Otherwise the networks will just do reruns of The Jerry Springer
Show to fill in the time.
