Watching the debate tonight?

You know what would be hilarious? If Trump couldn't stand to be left out of the VP debate and insisted on participating, somehow. Imagine the VPs trying to have a debate while an angry Trump sits in the audience yelling the whole time.

If he can't be physically present, I expect him to be tweeting the whole time, from beginning to end, desperately trying to become the centre of attention.

I fully expect him to be tweeting during the debate.

Why would the moderator break into the debate between the VP and the VP candidate to discuss Trump's tweets? That would be assinine.

It is very reasonable to ask the VP candidates to take position on what their partner on the ticket has said.
It shouldn't make a difference whether they said it a decade or a minute ago.

What would be asinine is Trump tweeting during the debate instead of waiting until it's done.

I'm concerned about a second debate because as I see it, there's no way that Joe Biden can come out of it without looking weak.

If he refuses to take part in a second debate because of concerns over President Trump's Covid-19 then it'll be painted as him running from the challenge and being weak.

OTOH if he does take part then it'll be interpreted as him flip-flopping on Covid-19 and accepting that it doesn't represent a challenge.

I suppose the debate could be done remotely, but this would lead to allegations of Biden being prompted and/or getting the questions in advance.

Once again, President Trump is able to put his opponent in a position where he has no valid "out". :(

I'm not too worried about the second Presidential Debate: Biden can leave the decision to the Organizers - if they say go, then it's go.

Trump's belligerence in the last debate didn't gain him any points, so Trump will have been told over and over not to do that again ... which is precisely why he will do it again.

My guess is Trump will cancel the debate when it becomes clear that he would be doing a lot of coughing.

I think most people are decided by now anyway and it'll be a small thing compared to all of Trump's recent scandals and screw-ups.
