Vatican demonstrates its compassion once again

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7930380.stm

Riiiiiiigghhhttt.... so, the Vatican says it's OK to pronounce excommunication on the child's mother and the doctors who were saving the child's life and health. But not a word about the rapist scum who abused her.

Pshh...its not like its going to have any bearing on this kid's life, anyway. She has more pressing concerns than a bunch of costumed old men excluding her from their club.

The way I remember hearing 60 years ago, the mother's death is preferred over that of the child.

No that is specifically denied, I Ratant. See what I quoted above. There is a consistency in this position, which many other stances on abortion lack.

I heard that from a nun 60 years ago.
These gals can do a lot of damage with their pious misinterpretations of canon law.

And can someone explain to me how the hell a 9 year old got pregnant?
When I was in elementary school, I knew a 9 year old girl who already had her menses. It's a bit unusual but it's definitely possible.

There's 5 generations in my brother's in-laws.. the matriarch is 92.

Holy hell.

And family members wonder why I left the Church.

If there were ever a candidate for a lynching, that step-father is high on the list, as is that idiot Cardinal.
