Vaccine/autism CT discussion

Here is a "victims of Gardasil" website:

http://www.whale.to/vaccine/janak7.html

Odd how the vaccine "kills" it's "victims" in such different ways, and over different periods of time after inoculation. I'm sure Clayton has an answer from that, when he presents the proof of the vaccine's culpability.

I do know how science works, but a blog on its own is not proof that a vaccine caused this tragedy.

Sorry. I should have included a "positively dripping with sarcasm" smiley.

The blog, as hard as it tries not to, reads like this:
"WooOOOoooOOOO! I am a ghost! Vaccines killed me! OoooOOOooooOO!"

You know what? She MAY have died from an adverse reaction to the vaccine. If we pay some notice to the mostly obfuscated figures available we can discern that for HPV in 2011 there were:

56 million vaccines administered.
21194 adverse effects shown to be directly connected to the injection of the vaccine.
(Mathsfact: 0.03% had "adverse effects".)
Of those 21194, 7.9% had a serious adverse reaction to the vaccination.
In this case serious means "headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, syncope, and generalized weakness were the most frequently reported symptoms." but lets pretend that those 7.9 percent died. All of them.
That would be 1674 people (plus a third of a person, let's make it 1675) who die directly from getting this foul death drug injected into their pure bodily fluids.

Too many, medico-stalinists! Too many!

it is possible she the poor woman did but there is no evidence at all from that blog nor any forthcoming from the OP that she did.

That is odd. Different ways? And different periods of time? It's almost like there's no pattern suggestive of a common link. Perhaps someone should investigate reports of serious adverse events to see if they can find a pattern? They could also look to see whether there is any indication that the deaths might have been caused by something other than the vaccine.

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/Vaccines/HPV/jama.html

The 32 death reports were reviewed and there was no common pattern to the deaths that would suggest they were caused by the vaccine. In cases where there was an autopsy, death certificate, or medical records, the cause of death could be explained by factors other than the vaccine. Some causes of death determined to date include diabetes, viral illness, illicit drug use, and heart failure.

OK. I revise my original falsely-held position of "all of them died". I only spent ten minutes searching for the figures I posted.

Imagine what the world would be like if everyone appended the word "conspiracy" to all their searches.

I wonder what the weather will be like today?

Ooh. Poisonous! Better take a brolly.

I tried this just to see what would happen. Apparently, there's a dog conspiracy: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/08/arts/television/08dogs.html?pagewanted=all all the fault of liberals, the media and over-regulation. Shocking stuff. Maybe we should get Clayton on the case?

clayton is too busy doing the clinical trials to prove his points with hard evidence

HPV Vaccine: A Strong Criticism from Leading Israeli OBGYN Doctor

“…in an interview with The Jerusalem Post in his office, (Dr. Beller) noted that the …pharmaceutical companies that manufacture the vaccine have been extremely aggressive in their lobbying and marketing; the vaccines are worth billons of dollars to them. At the same time, he said, many medical professionals who advocate vaccination have been pushing a “populistic campaign without being familiar with the issue (1).”

Dr. Beller continued by saying, “I would be happy to see a solution to this disease. Unlike mammography, there is no organized health fund screening for cervical cancer required, even though Pap smear testing has been shown to be worthwhile in early detection. I want to see fundamental studies proving efficacy, and they do not exist. The vaccines were tested on mostly white women attending colleges and university – mostly from developed countries and healthy. The data were based on a relatively short-term follow-up period. What is known does not yet justify widespread vaccination of healthy girls (1).”

Moreover, the Jerusalem Post report said that “Beller stressed that girls taking the vaccine should continue with Pap screening. ‘All the experts accept this, and This is accepted by everybody and actually means that the vaccine gives only limited protection, if any. Major studies have shown that women who were vaccinated nevertheless developed cervical cancer.’ (1)”

We shouldn't be trying to get rid of the HPV vaccine. We should be extending it to all forms of HPV.

Warts need to be eliminated.

And what has this random guy's opinion on the Internet to do with
Clayton Moore's 30 statements and 201 208 days of ignorance and delusion

All you have
  • what looks like a paranoid cranks obsession with companies making money! Guess what, Clayton Moore, that is what companies are set up to do :jaw-dropp!
In addition that crank is either ignorant or lying: "I want to see fundamental studies proving efficacy, and they do not exist" - see below !
  • An ignorant liar stating that "Gardasil Guards Against Almost Nothing" when in the real world Gardasil has been shown to work even in 2006:
Gardasil (Human Papillomavirus Vaccine) Questions and Answers - Gardasil, June 8, 2006
    How well does Gardasil work?
Four multinational studies were conducted to show how well Gardasil worked in women between the ages of 16 and 26 by giving them either the vaccine or placebo. The results showed that in women who had not already been infected with the type of HPV contained in the vaccine, Gardasil was nearly 100 percent effective in preventing precancerous cervical lesions, precancerous vaginal and vulvar lesions and genital warts caused by infection with the HPV types against which the vaccine is directed . It is believed that prevention of cervical precancerous lesions is highly likely to result in the prevention of those cancers.
Two studies were also performed to measure the immune response to the vaccine among younger females aged 9-15 years. Their immune response was similar to that found in 16-26 year olds, indicating that the vaccine should have similar effectiveness when used in the 9-15 year age group.
It is important to note that Gardasil did not protect against HPV types that are not in the vaccine.

Your first link is to something about Diane Harper. That would be this Diane Harper: http://www.skepticalraptor.com/skep...sil-researcher-against-vaccine-myth-debunked/

The second link: Dr Beller argues that the marketing of Gardasil has been aggressive, points out that the HPV vaccine doesn't entirely eliminate cervical cancer, and stresses that people who are vaccinated should continue with screening. Let's take a look at some YouTube videos Clayton. Hey, this is kind of your area isn't it?

Would you say this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ8x3KR75fA was aggressive marketing? Would you say that it made you concerned that the vaccinated would fail to keep going for pap smears? Would you say it implied that the HPV vaccine would guarantee that you wouldn't get cervical cancer? '70% of cervical cancer... may not fully protect everyone... important to continue regular screening...' How about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15Jk3OBm3lU?

Beller is complaining about the marketing of the vaccine and bemoaning the fact that it only protects against the strains of HPV that cause 70% of cervical cancers - meaning that the vaccine can reduce but not entirely eliminate cervical cancer. Wow.

This discussion seems familiar by the way - are you sure we haven't covered this already Clayton?
