Unbelievable the attack/hate articles coming out on Ron Paul

:Dthe NWO is in overdrive

google/bing/altavista/netscape/askjeeves ;p Ron Paul for News results and every big government/ neocon shill writer is taking a shot.

how is such a marginal fringe candidate drawing this much attention. if he is no threat to gather more than a few percentage points of the vote.. why is the need to publish countless articles?

like him or hate him, consider his positions radical or not.. you cannot deny his popularity/support is growing

Most of those searches are Tonight Show and SNL writers looking for material. The rest are Libertards looking for the latest updates.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA, WHOA!

Askjeeves still exists?

RP is the very definition of a libertarian excluding his views on abortion and his support for the military.

He is? Textbook libertarianism requires that the government get out of the national park and state park business. Has Ron Paul talked about how he will sell off the Grand Canyon? Will it go to a single bidder or will it be broken up into lots?

only a nut/ crank job would think that.

i think there are issues Ron Paul holds for an ideal society, but in reality he is more practical than most would want you to think

Ron Paul wants the USA to be completely hands off with the Middle East.

Is he prepared to live with the consequences of a highly destabilized Middle East?

like Libya and Syria currently are?

RP main issue is the the United States can't afford its domestic obligations while policing the world.

He cites the "blowback" theory- terrorist are "angry" at "western" civilizations for its involvement in middle eastern politics.

He also cites the United States foreign aid (military-aid) to all countries in the ME including Pakistan/ Egypt as failed policies and which undermine the sovereign security of Israel

It's hard to imagine anyone uses it. I'd have to ask "why"?

its sad that there are only a few options in this space.. i remember when i first used google in ~2001 i was soooo impressed with its layout/design/interface -love at first sight.

microsoft msn-became bing and yahoo actually useds bing results.. altavista redirects to yahoo

so its basically google vs yahoo/bing

That's the free market for you.

actually there is nothing sad about it.. Google is by far the best search engine, until something better comes along.

its perfect.. if i search for anything, i will find it

-the free market always provides more better and more efficient choices.. its just that search is a plain commodity

I'm pretty sure the people in the 1800s were much better off then than now, especially because it was a free market (tm)

Ron Paul is a selective Libertarian. He's a Libertarian until it's an issue on which he disagrees. For example; abortion, gay marriage, same sex adoptions, and more recently, he had made a statement where he felt atheists shouldn't be elected to office.

Then there's the bill he introduced to limit jurisdiction of lower courts over church and state violations resulting from state sanctioned religious organizations.

Quite frankly, with his track record, atheists shouldn't want to vote for him, as he seems to have a penchant for enforcing more hardline Christian values, even as he claims to be against such large government intrusions.

I just wanted to make the same point that other posters have made - Congressman Paul is not the very definition of a libertarian. He has adopted some libertarian views but does hold a number of contrary positions - not that there is anything inhetently wrong with that. It is just that it makes him neither fish nor fowl: he is too libertarian for the Republican Party to nominate him and he is too republican for the Libertarian Party to nominate him.
