Unbelievable the attack/hate articles coming out on Ron Paul

:Dthe NWO is in overdrive

google/bing/altavista/netscape/askjeeves ;p Ron Paul for News results and every big government/ neocon shill writer is taking a shot.

how is such a marginal fringe candidate drawing this much attention. if he is no threat to gather more than a few percentage points of the vote.. why is the need to publish countless articles?

like him or hate him, consider his positions radical or not.. you cannot deny his popularity/support is growing
Among the nutjobs like Tea Baggers and rightwing fundies, sure. But those pieces of fecal matter are not enough to elect someone, thankfully.

Black people should be the number one supporter of a candidate that wants to reform drug laws and deal with overcrowded prisons- thats probably a racist statement in itself but true. what has Obama done for Black people??

Same thing he did for white people. He put two rational justices on the Supreme Court and got so sort of health care reform and kept the American aoutomoblile induistry out of the toilet.

He offed Osama bin Laden.

Pay attention.

the vast majority of economic indicators show that the US economy is still struggling, worst than projections from the proper white house.

if you consider nationalizing GM saving the auto industry than sure, i still think its not over yet

no comment on Obamacare, and your giving Obama too much credit for killing Osama, imo it was just a matter of time based on the intelligence structure Bush put in place with the 2Trillion dollar wars

i am very familiar with RP and his stances on all the issues and i honestly dont understand why such hatred towards his views.
I can't speak for the others that have responded to you, but I've made it clear, I think, that I don't have hatred toward his views. Some are unworkable and some are obviously just for PR, but I think his views are better than those of most Republicans. I've only said that they are not conservative enough to win the GOP nomination. He is asking for the support of the fundamentalist and jingoiistic base of the party, and that is not going to be given to a Libertarian. Period.

RP is the very definition of a libertarian excluding his views on abortion and his support for the military. he served in the Vietnam. if you want to argue socialism vs libertarianism, fine but its unfair to attack the mans character. certain aspects of pure liberalism may sound racist but only to people who dont understand the concepts.

I agree, he's a pure libertarian. That's admirable in some ways, especially in that he doesn't sacrifice his principles just to win the nomination. I really respect that. I even agree with some of his principles, though not all. But he can't win. He can't win the nomination and he wouldn't win the general election if he did. He's too wierd. I'm sorry that wierdness is the deciding factor, but that's the way it is.

Neither Ron nor Rand Paul are ever going to be anything other than a slight moderating influence in the GOP. And in a way, that's too bad, because they truly need some new leadership. Newt ain't gonna cut it.

This is bad, I mean REALLY BAD news for women and soldiers if the blithering drongo ever rises to half the status he thinks he deserves.

he is has been associated with the republican party for ever and would not have a platform to shares his views. he served in the Vietnam.

So did McCain. Sure didn't give him much insight as to what the veterans needed, doubnt that the religious whackadoodle from Texas has leartned any more uselful lessons.

Stuff it. His character is the problem. Don't presume to tell me that I havbe to show the least respect for schmuck who hangs out with terrorists and their enablers. If the dirtbag is not aware that people have made an issue of his hob-nobbing with that terroist piece of compost Black, he is too stupid to run a government. If he is aware that we are aware of his association with him and has not denounced him for the low-life that he is, he is unfit to be POTUS because he pals around with terrorists.

You cannot consider Don Black and his dirtbag son good Americans and be fit to be POTUS.

RP is not an economist, he merely echoes research from real economist like von mises, and FA Hayek -a nobel prize winner. i dont see anything radical at all with RP arguments at all.

:dl:

its amazing that Ron Paul has been the most outspoken advocate for the economic theories of economists that happen to all be jewish.

Ludwig Von Mises
Frederick A. Hayek
Murray Rothbard
Carl Menger
Peter Schiff

ALL JEWS

yep, Don Black regularly sites a Jew as his intellectual hero. NOT.. you think Don Black has a library in his office filled with books wirtten by Jews?

RP as an anti-semite has been debunked

Ron Paul is one of the few politicians who seems to genuinely care about America. I don't agree with everything he stands for, but few can deny what I said and this gives him appeal.

However there are powerful interests who would have a great potential to be hurt by his policies, and they want to keep him down. And for this reason they resort to any form of character assassination they can think of.

People enjoy attacking people who they deem as being a bad influence. Since Paul borders on being a crank, people tend to attack him just so other people don' get the idea to try and emulate him, it's a natural instinct.

This is compounded by the effect seeing his followers have on people. To you this guilt by association must seem unfair, but it is not, he goes on The Alex Jones show etc so he is directly courting this element. Personally the only thing I have to say to Alex Jones is "You are brainwashing vulnerable minds into a cult and as such are human poison" But he finds other words to say to him, this disturbs me.

So basically I don't want anything to do with him purely on instinct... is that bad? It's too bad, for Paul

I think that Ron Paul is a good example of why one needs to examine all claims or ideas on their own merits. He has so many nice ideas, and obviously is pretty principled within his ideology, that doesn't make his terrible ideas any better. Nor does his terrible ideas make the good ones any worse ideas simply because they come from him.

It's easy to pick out the good ideas that people like and describe him like a great candidate. It's also easy to pick out the terrible ones and write some interesting articles.

Taken as a whole, Ron Paul is unelectable, and I'd certainly not support him. Unless the opposition was even worse.

lol, Paul sucks

9-11 Dude: “He [9-11 truth nut Steve Pieczenik] laid out that the whole bin Laden thing is a total hoax, it’s a PSYOP. ”

Paul: “This is the danger of what they’ve done. Because, you know it’s very risky to raise any questions because the country is hysterically in support. … Obama has created a problem because he didn’t come clean at the beginning. You know, we don’t know exactly what happened. We don’t know when he died, and then the body disappeared, and that will never be settled.”

Then 9-11 Dude presents Paul with the claim that “the entire 9-11 fiasco was a staged, false flag event.” Paul’s reply: “There’s a lot of possibilities there.” RP loves him some 9/11 truth

Yep, a real freedom fighter, a real man of the people

The Jewishness of those drongos is irrelevsant to the fact that they have fed us a load of crap. It is also irrelevant to the fact that the whacktard from Texas has no intention to put the weight of the presidency into preserving the human rights of minorities and women and union people.

It is the job of government to keep scum like Don Black from rising to positions of power. That any fool who thinks himself fit to be POTUS should get chummy with trash like that is unacceptable.

RP seems like a good guy. He should probably keep better company (and not go on Alex Jones) but I don't think he enables terrorism. I hang out with all kinds of people and don't keep tabs on what they do when I'm not around. A guy I worked for was busted for molesting kids about 6 months after I left my old job. Before I found out about the dude being a pervert, I wouldve probably said he was a good manager and easy to work with. Would that make me a perv-enabler?

I wonder what's in the water on planet Ronulus that makes the Ronulans think he's got a chance in hell of being elected.
Libertarians want drugs legalized. Do you think they are being good boys until that happens?

I think we have a clue as to why they "think" like they do.

Oh, Christ! I guess we're only 8 months away from the opening primaries and caucuses and it was bound to happen, but did they really have to go and run his sorry ass, again.

Thing is, with the nutbars coming out of the woodwork in the GOP, the moderate wing now consists of Newt and Ron!

And I do not agree with the LATimes piece. The teabaggers are not going to shy away from him. Oh, those clones who claim to be running the movement will, but the grass roots teabagger? They were all originally Ronulans, I feel.

Ron's much more adept and experienced at offering a safe harbor to the racist element out there, also. Newt can't tread there - it's never been his turf. Sarah and Michelle might try, but they're too stupid to dance around the issue well enough. But Lew and Ron are real good at it.

Yea well if that is true than it has FAR more to do with wacktards like Paul and theives like the republicans whos notion of govt is to bend over with cheeks spread wide for the wall street rapists, religious terrorists and the oil companies and **** the poor under the absolutely idotic notion that "the market will solve everything".

Edited breach of Rule 10. Profanity must be completely masked in the public forums. Do not substitute letters/symbols to evade the auto-censor.

actually re reading the article i think it might be a troll/ poe

What a coincidence, when I focused on the wording of the opening post, I had the very same thought. Now, inflammatory language aside; as other posters have implied, Congressman Paul has a couple ideas that I like very much, a couple of ideas that I like a little, some ideas that I can stomach, some ideas that I dislike but I consider rational, and a few kooky ideas. But the one thing he really brings to the table is the idea that all budget items and national policies should be open to discussion. I hate the two-party system and their unwillingness to even open a debate on certain issues. I am not saying we have to re-invent the wheel every fiscal calendar year, but we should be able to at least discuss the big things every few years.

RP is the very definition of a libertarian

Well, here's your answer: Most people are not libertarians, and tend to have a dim view of the ideology.

Right. I repeat my assertion that libertarians inhabit a slightly different universe from the rest of us....One in which libertarian ideas would actually function.
