Merged U.S. ambassador to Libya, 3 others killed in rocket attack, witness says

Will the persons responsible for setting the fire and death of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and others be brought to justice

Unlikely. The US tends to avoid due process in such cases and the libyans have more important things to worry about. Its entirely possible that certian people will turn up dead in a back alley but its unlikely that any mechanism of justice will be involved.

OP and first response, I am curious to see which develops. Some will certainly be taken down but how publicly is ytbd

Sounds like the same ol' story...like when we left Iraq or what's happening now as we prepare to leave(if you believe it) Afghanistan.

Why does your infinitely powerful and peaceful god need the help of mortals to murder his political enemies?

To quote Kirk, "What does God need with a starship an angry mob?

Refuse to play God's game! Refuse!

So Iraqis are killing Iraqis. While you and your hippie bleeding heart liberal friends may care its not particularly reasonable to expect anyone else to.

It's an act of war on American soil. (Or several.) It's only been 24 hours, lets wait a while to see how our Commander In Chief handles things. He's probably waiting for a poll to tell him which way will gain him the most votes in Nov.

I guess he could justify sending n the Spec OPs folks to retake the American soil, but best of all would be to convince the host countries to take out the protestors and give our embassies back, on a silver plate, with much apologies and reparations. Ha.

Foreign policy in a nutshell: US-Backed Terrorists Murder US' Own Ambassador in Libya

Instead of whining demand from your sick "elites" to stop this insanity.

There is a claim made:

The men McCain was defending were Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) militants

Source? I wouldn't be surprised if the LIFG were among the groups McCain was defending, or referring to, in that speech, and that's egg on his face, but were all the groups in the city LIFG?

It's Stone Age barbarians in a Stone Age country incited by a Stone Age preacher here in the US with the assistance of their Stone Age imams and mullahs.
Fix the Stone Age problem, the result will be a better world for everyone.
Can't make breakfast without breaking a few eggs, and turning some sand into glass.

CBS News/AP says a group called Ansar al-Sharia claimed responsibility for the Benghazi attack.
.
The "Reverend" Terry Jones should get all the recognition/prosecution his hateful products incite.
Like Manson.

Terry Jones (who I guess is the Stone Age preacher) did not incite them. He promoted a video months ago that led to no riots or anger in the Muslim World. The imams in Libya and Egypt looking to cause some mayhem on 9/11 chose that video and then lied about it to incite a riot.

As hateful as Terry Jones is, he has no responsibility for this event. The American media latched onto him because he was so entertaining the last time they made a media circus out of his backwater chapel, and since they could, by tortuous logic, somehow make a tenuous connection, they did.

If your goal is to get these people out of the Stone Age, then "turning some sand into glass" is pretty much the worst thing you could do.

In fact, I believe there's a common expression that covers this very thing...

That **** for brains made the video deliberately, with the intent of attacking the bizarre fantasises of the doofuses of fundamentalist Islam. And they attacked.
He had no sane reason to make the video.
They are miserable enough in their Stone Age squalor, there's no reason to incite them.

is this the book burning pastor Terry Jones?

If so then hes partly responsible for the death of a US diplomat.

It was someone called Sam Bacile

Should be renamed imbecile hes partly responsible for getting someone killed.

In a disturbing photo running in the NY daily news, Stevens' body is being dragged out, apparently by 'the good guys'. He already looks deceased to me, and without any trauma I would attribute to an RPG or fire. He looks like he was suffocated / choked to my inexpert opinion. I won't post the link as it is a rather gruesome picture, but it is easily googleable.

I also note that Karzai & the Egyptian leadership have condemned the movie, and not the attacks, in a typical display of Islamic sensibility.

I want my 8 years back that I spent in Afghanistan.

They were prominent among the "military arm" of the Transitional Council McCain was referring to, beside the mentioned especially Belhadj whose importance you can see by the fact that he was made head of the Tripoli Military Council after it was "liberated" and whose background was hardly a secret.

He's no more responsible for the ambassador's death than the newspaper Jyllands-Posten is responsible for the more than 100 deaths associated with the riots after the Mohammed cartoon publication.

He's a hateful bigot but he's not responsible for the actions of people in Libya and Egypt who chose to riot after exhortation by imams seeking to pursue their own agendas.
